The idea that project Janus is about Richtofen reviving his family makes sense for sure

But why on earth does he need gigantic towers all to revive 2 people? I’m sure PART of project Janus is reviving his family, but there’s likely something Richtofen is hiding. I mean he said himself, he “ALWAYS” has a plan. And be fr, when has Edward Richtofen in any cod zombies game been trustworthy?

I really don’t think that means he’s on our side and he has a plan to stop SAM, I think he has a plan to execute the remainder of Project Janus, now that the sentinel artifact has been bought to liberty falls.

I also keep coming back to the “R-Will betray you” message in shattered veil. It makes a lot of sense that whatever the remainder of project Janus is, it will end in our crew being “betrayed”. Theres like 3 people that have a name with an R at the start of it, and I don’t think raptor one or Ravenov are doing anything

…unless Ravenov hears that the SAM A.I wants to bring back Maxis, and he’s so desperate to get her back he assists the AI🤔

I have a much deeper meaning in my theory coming up for what the actual pathways and bridges mean in terms of janus, but I really like your thinking for it being deeper cause it 100% is

I mean isnt the janus towers site meant to be a modified nuclear reactor site? Like there is even dialog in shattered veil that talks about it and rictophen even says there is an aether reactor there

Honestly? I could totally see a Ravenov betrayal being pulled. In a couple of intels here and there, a few dialogues, they’re trying to setup the implication that Ravenov loved Sam too. He also seems to take S.A.M somewhat more seriously than Grey. So I think one outcome is that Ravenov sees S.A.M as a suitable replacement and wants to help her, or there’s somehow enough friction between Grey and drunk ass loner Ravenov over Sam for him to betray. But that second one’s even more of a stretch than this whole idea.

For the first one though it could be pretty funny tho. Ravenov just going “I will help you, and finally I will have my true love” and S.A.M just goes “uh, sure, fuck it, I’ll take the help, let’s just go along with it for now. Did NOT realise this guy was a robotfucker but ok”

I do think R will betray you is a misdirection, I just don’t know how.

As for Edward, I mean, I think I’m undecided until we learn more of his past. From what we know now, I honestly do find it entirely believable he wants to get his family back and be done with it. Maybe he’s leaving out some steps of what is necessary to do that, but I do honestly think all he wants is a safe life with his family.

Which is where I think the rest of Janus comes in, _safe_.We know Edward remembers the house, and thinks it is very safe, and it has been brought up numerous times. One theory I read at some point was that the other purpose of Janus was to either get back to the house or create a new one, to safely live in with his family. This could understandably be a bigger task.

I believe Richtofen’s grand plan consists of creating a new Agartha pocket dimension with resurrecting his family. Basically restoring Monty’s version of the house connecting to the snow globe, which honestly might be plausible. Richtofen has preserved memories of the old Aether timeline embedded in his mind. They seem to be implying Richtofen craves using the Prima Materia substance, although we’re likely getting some huge cliffhanger in Janus Towers.

My crackpot theory is when it pulls them from the past or whatever its going to take either original samantha or ultimis Richtofen and take over either said character and both are not the greatest people

Maybe in some cosmic chad energy, Richtofen has vague memories of his old associates and the vague memories are saying it’s bullshit that he gets to live and they don’t.

Primis Richtofen’s entire point of existing was to run away from dying. Not just him, protecting Nikolai, Dempsey and Takeo.

They all died, banished everything to the Dark Aether, only for the Dark Aether to be reached in the new reality anyway. For Zombies and everything they wanted to stop to just carry on. Apart from them.

What about Victis? They’re just chilling out there. Abandoned.

Everything is there. Doctor Monty. The Shadowman.

Nah, who am I kidding, they’re not going to do anything interesting with the potential of their sacrifice being pointless.

It’ll be Richtofen either gets his family or doesn’t, kills the crew either way and then the other characters will return in BO7 as member berries with little to no thought about their story other than marketability and game sales.

Whatever we do at Janus Towers, I really hope it attracts a bunch of Aether Worms. Since in MWZ, they gravitate towards high concentrations of Aetherium (and there’s the statue in Shattered Veil). MWIII gave me a taste of what Terramorphous would be like in a Zombies game, I need that fix again.
