I feel that several maps are similar to others in terms of atmosphere, like Shattered Veil is the same as Citadelle des Morts for example.

The fact they threw 3 maps at us in the first 3 seasons is where they fucked up. If they were only going to release 4 maps for DLC, they should’ve done S1, S2R, S4, and then S5R. Now we’re stuck with a 4 month gap between maps, nice going Treyarch

I’ve absolutely loved zombies on this game. Never ever thought I would get something like a 100% Mastery calling card but I’ve managed to get it for zombies in this game because I have just genuinely loved playing it. Nebula grind was fun, the Easter eggs were all fun, I’ve had such a good time with it.
I know this is a cod zombies subreddit so there will be people so passionate about the game that will probably be more prone to critique rather than appreciate, which is only to be expected if this is one of your hobbies, but as a more casual gamer I just have loved this game!!!! And am genuinely excited for the next map.
Hope there’s a good Super EE though, getting Tomb done almost killed me off better be worth it having them all done 🤣

Maybe the release schedule was weird but overall this year. In my subjective opinion was the best launch maps and post launch maps as a whole since black ops 3. People 5 years from now will look back and think this was a very good year for zombies.

The tomb is the first dlc map released for the casual side of zombies. Typically DLC’s are big expansive experiences that the scrub/heavy casual player doesn’t tune into.
Like in BO3, if you were a casual, most likely you stuck to the giant for the rest of eternity, BO4 maybe classified? Cold War was entirely casual so there was no issue there lol
Tomb was likely intended to be a dlc map for those players. Instead of limiting them to one zombie map for the rest of eternity, the tomb was created to give the casuals a second map

Big F for me because I really like this years zombies. Hoped really for at least one more map before or after Janus towers. But with the start of season 4 it was already unlikely. Really disappointing…

oh and hopefully a chronicles two, it’s been ten years since bo3 chronicles and it’d be nice to see the older maps slightly tweaked for the new mechanics like what they did with shi no numa

If they stick the landing with Janus Towers I’d say BO6 was a great zombies game. I’ve spent countless hours on it and hope they go out with a bang. Maybe season 6 will release with another side mode similar to Grief?
