For something based on the hit movie! Charging $209 a game is the only way the movie will make a profit

  2. Bluemischief123

You realise that only cost 2 dollars more than the US price? Nothing out of the ordinary for NZ.

  3. TechTuna1200

It will be free on Epic Games in 2-3 years, just like Tiny Tina Wonderland.

  4. NotMorganSlavewoman

70€. Will wait for 3-4 months before it’s 80% off or something like that.

  5. Just don´t buy it, and the demand will drop

  6. AllesPat

It‘s 69,99€ – a normal AAA launch price in germany; I‘ll still wait for a discount – but nothing unusual?

  7. Kia ora my bro, yeah thats a rip and I’m having a real hard time justifying the expense.

There’s no crime in charging what they want for their product. There’s also no crime in people paying what they’re willing to for said product.

Just saying though, things would be better if consumers had some discipline and stopped paying for extra nonsense before a base game even releases.

  9. Pandoras_shit_box

Stuff that. Will wait for the inevitable sale. The last one wasn’t compelling enough for day 1 or that price tag.

  10. Sir-Zealot

I will in fact NOT be buying this game

  11. SupermarketFun3678

Bruh …. I hate to see it. Borderlands was my shit.
    Corporate greed wins again.

    Edit: I’m taking it back.

Corporate greed doesn’t win again. The company fails its fanbase once more.

Don’t care what you put in your game, just make it good and stop the greed.

We can’t even get a fucking booklet in a case anymore. If you do, it’s the “special limited edition” that costs $100+.

    So much blatant greedy bs.

  12. Short-Cucumber-5657

The only winning move is not to play. Vote with your wallet

  13. Prudent-Violinist816

You are a sucker….. I mean good customer!!!

  14. Lazy_Promotion1169

Game looks no better than BL2 and see no reason not to just play that game instead

  15. SnooMacarons9026

    I’ll wait for Fitgirl repack

  16. Fickle_Hope2574

Atleast you’d get a artbook if it was a physical copy, that’s worth it

  17. SheepWolves

didnt 2k go off the deep end and add a bunch of BS to their term of service? Like you can’t sue and they can scrap all your data?

  18. Rocketmanluke

    If you’re a real fan you’ll find a way…..

  19. Coycington

hey i bought monster hunter world and iceborne 5 years after release and i don’t mind never buying borderlands. i think it was pretty bad after the second one anyway

  20. Chromas87

Someone explain to me how digital copies are the same price as a physical copy?

I understand with physical copies you’re paying for manufacturing, shipping, employees at various business along the way.

But a digital copy you’re just downloading it directly. No shipping, no paying stores etc.

So a digital copy should be much cheaper by comparison.

  21. staticcast

While this definitely feel overpriced, you may want to join r/patientgamers and get yourself out of the fomo cycle : your bank and mental health will be grateful.

  22. KabraxisObliv

Where’s the Ultra Deluxe for actual fans?

  23. TunaPablito

True fans will take it and won’t complain…duhhh

  24. Titanusgamer

i will wait for free edition on epic game store in 2 years

  25. Lyra_the_Star_Jockey

Can’t wait for GTA 6 to be $80 and not hear a thing about it on this sub.

  26. Cless_Aurion

It is…? The exchange rate to Euro is like 60 bucks for the basic version? 110 for like a limited edition falls on what is expected… even by 2010 standards?

  27. Vladsamir

Wait. If my math is right(most likely isnt) then the cheapest one costs about £50? That’s not bad at all?

  28. BlazingShadowAU

Damn, having no interest in Borderlands 4 has never been cheaper!

  29. LarsGontiel

While I also lament the price increase, honestly, the saddest thing about that screenshot for me are the deluxe editions. I’ll never get used to that bullshit, even if everyone is doing them

  30. Andy016

Standard for some games, Astrobot is still $124.95  NZD and was released September last year. (9 months ago)

Still haven’t bought it as I don’t have the money. They want to raise game prices even higher though.

Idiots, if I can’t afford this price point…    How can I afford a higher price point ???

  31. No_Guide5550

I bet this works great cracked even with MP like the others did. Im good thanks

  32. EbonBehelit

    Yikes.

On the wishlist it goes. I’ll check back in on it in 2027.

  33. MookiEXE

Borderlands is not worth the price of two full-priced games. The deluxe edition is not worth the price of two Switch games, and the Super Deluxe edition is not worth the price of three full-priced games.

  34. havocLSD

Deluxe edition, super deluxe edition, mega super deluxe edition, ultimate mega 358/2 days super deluxe edition.

    Fucking nonsense gaming companies

  35. GlitteringDaikon93

After the pre-sequel and 3 it should be 40€ full price.

  36. TCRAzul

For anyone wondering, $1 NZD is $0.6 USD

So $120 NZ is $72 US

  37. PM_ME_UR__CUTE__FACE

    >Remembers switch 2 sales

I know you will buy it

    RemindMe! 3 months

  38. HAIRYMAN-13

Wouldn’t give that prick a dollar

  39. leobutters

I have no idea how much that is in normal money like Euros or US$

  40. Automatic_Pen8494

Firstly – im not condoning super high prices but..
If the game is great and you spend 100 hrs on it and it cost $100 then your paying $1 and hour to play something you love. Is that bad?

Ive got about 300 hrs on Civ4, HOMM3, XCom 2 my God probably double that. It’s inflation and seems like alot but N64 games cost me £40 / $60 back in the late 90s
