fun fact: apparently, indie was supposed to have a proper sword fight, but because of a bout of dysentery (for all the actors, not just ford), they cut it down to just shooting the guy instead..

Alternatively: waiting a few years for the 80% off sale on steam.
Indiana Jones and the great circle already had a 33% discount, and it was only released in December.

The older I get the more content I am waiting 2-3 years to play a game, so I can get it for $10 instead of $80
FuckClerics
It’s crazy they’re ready to charge us $80 for unfinished games
IDK I find I pirated more in the 90’s and 00’s and kind of started buying things in the 2010’s. The idea of running a cracked .exe file with admin rights doesn’t sit well with me anymore.
However lately I’ve started torrenting movies and tv shows as streaming has gone to shit.
Tannerted2
either replace “gamer” with “some of reddit” or change it to indy going giving the 80 dollar game a sucky
SlowVroomVroom
I recently bought BG3 for around 50% off. 55 hours in and just barely getting out of act 2 and I’m already thinking about what I am going to do on my next run. I have plenty of games to keep me entertained until sales. (But I did pay full price for Expedition 33, wanted to support the $50 release on a masterpiece of a game)
Chinatsez
It’s all fun and games until the game requires constant internet connection

Denuvo is the bullet proof vest.
Ok-disaster2022
I was expected it to caption “Steam sale”
That’s How I never pay list price for games.
Epic game store for free titles. 200+ games on that, and I’ve played 4

Fun fact, George Lucas originally wanted there to be an elaborate sword fight. It was Harrison Ford’s idea to just shoot the guy. One of the few time Lucas listened and it became an iconic moment. Funny how that works.

Ok sure thing.
uchuskies08
I’m not in college anymore. I have a job. I don’t have to steal software. Not saying I didn’t back when I was broke but sorry I’m just not that price sensitive. I haven’t paid $80 for a game yet but I’m sure I will at some point.
Krullexneo
Nah it should be “waits for $30 sale”
Pancakes1741
AAA is total garbage. I’m so glad I don’t follow the ratrace much of latest games. To be honest, their are still so many games from the past 20 years I could go my life without another AAA title and just enjoy older games and indie titles.
jcubah1
Imagine waiting for a discount and the discount drops it to $69.99
Unable-Cellist-4277
People will do anything except wait 6 months.
WalkingDud
If this were true, there wouldn’t be so many $80 games.
ROBO-MANe123
I usually go for indie games. Most modern 80% games just don’t worth it’s time for download, checking and deleting after realizing that a game is just emotionless code with uninspired but realistic graphics
Pestelis
Yeah. 80$ to not actually own a game is a bit too much
stinkyshittykitty
Unless you are a Nintendo zealot. They consider $80 a win. Fucking morons.
Limelight_019283
I don’t like pirating that much as a whole, there’s only 1 game series I’ve pirated and that’s the Sims 4.
Used to buy pirated a lot as a kid, but since I make enough money I like supporting creators of games I like. Some really special cases I’m glad to buy more than once and gift it to a friend!
DrKingOfOkay
People pay full price still?
fthisappreddit
Yup don’t buy make them feel it only thing they listen to is the ol wallet punch.
