I genuinely think people don't like it because there not used to losing in zombies.
Newsflash some people are better than you.
One time we beat an entire a team so bad they all quit except for one guy. And nothing we did got this guy down. No amount of griefs or meleeing got it done.
And no I don't think he was hacking he was just a really slippery motherfucker.
This went on for an hour until I finally quit. Because he was literally better than all of us combined.
And that's just how it is sometimes you're the better player sometimes you're not.
The mode isn't perfect specifically most griefs are hilariously useless. I think there should be a class of griefs only available after like 30 minutes in game that is heavyly punishing like taking away random perks or permanently downgrading pap tiers of weapons.
Something that garentees that matches won't last past 45 minutes. Worst come worst end the match and award the win to whoever had the most zone captures.

I had a similar case. Went to round 33 IIRC, two teammates were constantly going down, and had a friend of mine down 5 times, I went down once really early in a stupid down. Enemy team had no problem staying alive the entire time, but I refused to die and let the team wipe. The two who couldn’t stay alive left, me and my friend stayed on. They were getting every grief, but it suddenly swapped at around round 20. Their game-plan evidently was to use the Sally and Fourth to outlast us, so when a crit weapon carosel came around, I was able to turn things around. They still managed to stay alive for a while, a couple even got those pistols or ASGs back, but I managed to win us a melee trial, another crit trial, an equipment trial (gersh devices for the win), and even a standard kill trial, as they started downing at this point. In the end, it was effectively a 2v3 (one of them left sometime before round 20), and I had all my necessary perks, and only one of them hadn’t gone down yet (probably the other prestige master). In the end, we won with over 70 revives between me and my friend, I had most kills and most crit kills (went in with a krig, lost from a weapon carosel and used an AS VAL I got from the box for the rest of the game, no way I was using a Tsarkov as my main).
This is how grief goes, it really just comes down to who is better at avoiding the zombies and working around the griefs you apply to them. If they can, then they’re going to make you run the gauntlet even if they never win a challenge, and if they can go the distance, but you struggle to, theres a very good chance they will win.
