Australia’s Pearls and Boomerangs have made a strong impression at the 2025 Virtus Games in Kazakhstan, with all four teams — Green and Gold from both programs — dominating the pool phase across three days of competition.
In the women’s competition, Pearls Green went undefeated with victories over Japan (18–15), Poland (19–2), Spain (21–2), France (16–3), and Pearls Gold (12–4). Pearls Gold also impressed, defeating Poland (16–2), France (11–2), and Spain (14–3), with their only losses coming against Japan (7–11) and Pearls Green.
The Pearls’ semi-final will be an all-Australian showdown, with Gold set to take on Green for a place in the final.
On the men’s side, the Boomerangs delivered a dominant pool stage. Boomerangs Green recorded wins over Israel (22–2), Japan (12–6), Poland (21–7), Italy (21–3), Portugal Black (22–3), Kazakhstan (21–4), and Boomerangs Gold (12–4). Boomerangs Gold were also in fine form, defeating Spain (21–11), USA twice (21–2), Venezuela (21–17), Portugal Red (14–8), and France (17–12).
Both men’s teams are through to the semi-finals, with Boomerangs Green set to face Portugal Red and Boomerangs Gold taking on France.
