If you don't accept that unticked flag it won't make you proceed to the registration. Not a good second impression. This game continues to disappoint me.

Sometimes you need to click the privacy and user agreement. Though hopefully just a bug if you’re right.

Isn’t it registration for a beta? Not saying right or wrong. Just my opinion on “why?!” They might do it..But I imagine companies in the past if you didn’t accept it and got email’s probably some people made a big deal about it.and may even be some type of law that requires accepting to receive a email now. Either way it’s registration. how else are they supposed to tell you when the game drops? or when the beta is available? all that can be consider marketing no?

Those are not always just “opt-ins” and therefore they are not always optional.
For example, you would not be allowed to continue if you did not check the “I have read and agree… ” box.
In this case you are also not allowed to continue if you don’t check the “I agree to receive marketing…” box.
Admittedly unusual to **have** to consent to marketing communications, but if they get people to actually do it I can see it taking off and becoming more widespread.

Close enough, welcome back Amino.
