I was tired of temp issues with my Ryzen, until I dissasembled my AIO (2 years old)

  1. Then 70 degrees idling, now 49 degrees with Prime95. 5900X stock clocking

Edit: Refilled it with the same coolant as my KTM 300 XCW

Air cooler supremacy. I will scream that till the end of time.

This is why i moved towards aio’s that can be drained/refiled they cost more but this is becoming way to common. Once again were is the regulations/laws to stop this its obvious there is a issue here that can be resolved.

And I am the antichrist for telling people on reddit AiO’s aren’t as reliable as a good quality aircooler 💀

Hmmmm. 40c temps and totally silent, 2 to 5 year life spam at $120?

Or 50c temps and totally silent, literally infinite lifespan, at $40?

    HMMMMM??????

  6. sirfannypack

This is why I don’t do AIO coolers, not serviceable.

  7. Ryebread095

This is why I’m going for a quality air cooler on my next build.

  8. Scary-Cockroach-1159

What AIO brand / model is this?

  9. darktooth69

again, why air coolers always wins.

Is that what mounts to the cpu? Why is there a large groove and what’s the brown stuff?

  11. Yavasi_Silverond

Had a similar issue with my old custom loop, ran it 6 years non-stop without knowing one of two rads was aluminum in a copper setup. This year my water blocks where filled with…..sludge and was having to undervolt the CPU to keep safe temps. Dumped the aluminum rad for another copper one, cleaned the fins on the water blocks and bows she is ready for another 6 neglected years of constant running to keep my multiple servers running

  12. mbp_tv_

My 5 year old air cooler still running without issues

  13. HotpieEatsHotpie

None can make me put water inside my computer.

Why automobiles have a better radiator system than home tropical air conditioner and PC desktop?

  15. Overall-Music-8212

This is the reason why I will never buy any AIO

  16. Daemoni-73

AIO’s are the dumbest invention known to man.

  17. Competitive-Web-1500

Looks at my aircooler: “Youre doing good mate, keep going”

  18. Longjumping_Line_256

Yup, I learned my lesson the hard way, not once or twice, but 3 times, Air cooler all day!

  19. xRazorleaf

My 10 year old NZXT Kraken X61 still going strong 💪🏻🦾

  20. No-End-6550

Thats why I will never use an AIO. PC parts should not need maintenance if possible

  21. demonhuntermk

I’ve been using the Corsair h100i for 10 years…. Zero problems

  22. Blommefeldt

I used my Corsair H110i until ladt year, when I upgraded from a i7-6900k to a Ryzen 5 5800x. Never had a problem with it, and I’m gonna use it, when I turn the old cpu into a server. I had it since november 2016.

  23. OurManInHavana

After my second AIO pump failure… I’m back to heavy reliable chunks of metal, with large slow fans bolted to them. Anything fouling them can be blown out with a quick hit of the air duster.

  24. Finest_of_stupidity

Jesus why does everyone hate AIO’s so much? Like yeah ofc they are less reliable or need more maintenance cause you are literally dealing with fluids, but damn they look so much better. I’m sorry but I just hate how it looks like when I have a huge block sitting on top of my CPU.

  25. LordBacon69_69

Yeah I’m sticking with air coolers

  26. ScrewLews

AIO suck for reliability, I gave up after 2 died in 4 years.

  27. CRSemantics

I’ve been burned three times by aio and i will not be burned again.

  28. I mean my Ryzen has had temp issues since day 1. Not sure why I fell for the hype.

  29. GeovaunnaMD

way too much work. i just orders an Arctic freeze aio and call it good
