This is in cold war too. As far as I know it’s to prevent piracy making you to continiously validate the connection of your account to Activision’s servers
Activision knows online only is an objective downgrade, they just want to be able to control and analyze everything to sell more bundles and online only helps with that.
They also stream the textures. They force people into having good internet plus for console players the game is so large that some storage options may only allow for 1 or 2 games thus forcing players to decide what to play.
As soon as this shit starts happening I quit. It’s just gonna piss me off if I die cause of it

Does anybody besides speed runners play the offline mode on anything after bo2? Bo3 was the first time that online solo was offline solo were two different things if I remember correct. Because if so, you are acting like people didn’t have internet connection issues on solo matches (disconnects, crashed, server going down) for over ten years. Online only isn’t the start of this
