Hmm… all died relatively instantly. The only argument for the “worst” case is how gored their corpse looked respectively.
Though maybe Johnny since the reason for fighting Smasher was his cause to blow up the Arasaka Tower and we see that it was later rebuilt, leaving his death in vain.
Id say all the ones who got killed instantly got off easy

If I remember correctly, Rogue got her neck snapped after she threw a grenade inside Smasher’s chest plate

Johnny just got neutralized then later on Soul Killed (but the Soul Killing was done by Arasaka)
Id say Saul had it the worst because rebecca at least probably died immediately, and rogue threw a grenade at him last second so she died knowing she at least irritated him. Saul literally saw this scary ass psycho cyborg and got decapitated 😭

Rogue at least got to damage Adam’s armor before going out like a boss.
Rebecca got her head squished while trying to stand up for her ride-or-die crush talking to the girl he loved.
saul got a foot to the face, adam didnt even care about jonny, johnny’s ego just cares about adam..

The last two died instantly after getting a few shots. Rogue got a fist through the chest first, then blew herself (and a bit of Smasher) up. Johnny got cut in two and bled out for a bit (not sure how long, Murphy should’ve slotted in the data slug after a few seconds, as Shaitan was struggling with holding Smasher back), so he actually experienced his wounds the longest.
Johnny boy. Smasher didn’t even bothered with him. It’s like being murdered by darth vader but he just makes you trip and you hit your head
Saul, since at least the others went out fighting, and in Rogue’s case, actually doing something (however small) to the asshole.
Regardless of which version of events you want look at, Johnny got blown apart and then soulkilled so that’s by far the worst encounter of the bunch.

Poor Rebecca was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, trying to help David and Lucy, just out for survival if anything. And the goomba stomp was just dirty
I am going to bet that a piece of fan fiction involving the word “slayed” has something to do this skew.
Johnny followed by Rogue. The rest died instantly meaning no pain. Johnny definetly did NOT and Rogue was severely injured before being killed.
