Why did you guys not just continue the mw2019 storyline…

  1. I wanted more of the ‘urban terrorist’ ‘the price of war’ story.

I got a sloppy soap drama instead. I was mad.

I then replayed old mw 1 and 2 where the story was more mature.

    Now Im happy again.

MWII’s story had potential but was just wasted for a worse retelling of the OG MW2 story. MWIII’s development was fucked over by MWII and Activision. Warzone made it so the MW and BO series were intertwined.

They really did just ruin their entire storyline after MW2019

Both writers left IW at early stage of development Of MW2

How do you pretend to make a new game every year if you don’t destroy the old one? 😂

What’s funny (and sad) is that MW19 almost fits perfectly as a prequel to COD4, and from then all they needed to do is take the story from COD4 with some minor tweaks and they’d have nailed it.

MW19 story was cool, MWII had some cool parts but it was really disappointing, Hassan Zyani was not a good villain at all and neither was shepherd. They had something promising with the cartel storyline in Mexico but ended up ruining that with the incredibly unrealistic premise of fictional isis partnering with cartels. Don’t even get me started on MWIII man.

MW2019 campaign was one of the best, I LOVED the direction they went with it so was so excited for what they were gonna cook with the next games.

Anddddd then they completely abandoned it…

I always wondered why they didn’t lean more into the cartel elements of MW’II’s story. Its such a misstep not to zoom in on the elements of those organizations that could start national conflict if they wanted to, maybe even have an event thats on par with the brutality of No Russian again and give COD its bite back but no. Just more Russians that speak a different language.
