I’ve always felt that exhaust above RAM is like the worst way to do it. You’re going to be drawing minimal air from between the sticks — most of it will be coming from outside and above them — and you have a giant airflow dead-spot right in the valley where you need cooling the most. And since it’s a low-pressure spot, you can’t even convect properly because there’s not enough air in the middle for convection to work well.
