Dont get me wrong, I enjoyed the first game… but unless this game is better and 10x longer.. this price is insane.

Pre-purchase a digital game without any discounts is INSANE.

  2. SekiroSoul1

Similar to Doom Dark Ages, that price is deliberate in order to steer gamers to buy game pass instead.

don’t just whine on Reddit, vote with your wallet. it is the only thing they understand.

They did it for the same reason Nintendo can now offer game cards without games on them, and for the same reason Apple removed the headphone port. Say it with me now:

    “*Audacity*”

  5. Get it for half that 6 months after release. Or there’s always gamepass.

We just have to hope the rest of the market thinks its bullshit pricing. Because frankly, that’s the only thing that will change these prices.

Otherwise, we can expect more of the same Nintendo pricing.

You either listen to Total Biscuit’s wisdom, or you get what you get.

There is still people who seriously think that companies, small, indies, or not, are their friends ?

    1. Don’t buy overpriced shit
    2. Don’t buy overpriced shit before release!!

I think Microsoft wants you to subscribe to Game Pass

  12. Edgy_Robin

Far as I know the game won’t have Denuvo so…

  13. Far_Adeptness9884

The first game was alright, but only because it kind of released during a gaming desert and there wasn’t much to play, I never really felt like I couldn’t wait for a sequel. I think I’ll wait for a deep discount

This is why I’m happily a year behind AAA. I’ve not even cracked BG3 act two yet because I was waiting on the final patch.

If you’re on PC there is really no excuse to buy these games on release. Thousands of games on steam waiting to be played already.

    Literally cheaper in Canada

    100 CAD = ~ 73 USD

The game is $80 in the US.

  16. FadingHeaven

Can’t wait to get it on sale 5 years from now!

  17. CyberMarine1997

Well it is a game that is a parody of corporate greed and exploitation…

  18. MacEbes

Whats crazy is 100 Cad is $73 usd, this game is $80 usd meaning its more like 110 Cad, so you are getting a discount…

I swear if the next Forza Horizon is $100, which I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be at this point, it’s gonna be the first time I don’t buy a Forza game on release day since FM3.

At this point I don’t care if I have to wait 6 months to grab during a sale, I’m not spending $100 on a single, standard edition game.

The more horrifying part is it’s more expensive here (South Africa) and our currency/purchasing power is weaker than yours.

Works out to ~115CAD for the standard edition. Our average monthly salary is ~2000CAD for reference.

  21. Balc0ra

You should see the Switch 2 store in CAD

  22. Scytian

Canadians learn about exchange rate, truly maginicent. Game is your region is actually extremally cheap compared to other regions, you only pay around 72USD.

I mean… The solution is rather clear here and I keep saying this endlessly and yet gamers keep on complaining but the solution is:

    # Stop Pre-Ordering Things

    seriously, Stop pre-ordering games.

    Stop it. Stop doing it.

    to explain:

Preorders make the producer feel there is a huge demand or hype for the game. That demand hype from the preorders means no sales at the start of launch, everything will be full price for months, vs the normal thing that happens when a new product launches, which are incentives of some kind (real incentives like discounts or free items, not ‘Bundles’ where-in the extra stuff costs extra cash to earn).

Preorders killed the release sale, and as such we are now here… where a dev can pre-release a game months in advance for an insane price….

    DON’T BUY IT

  24. Vectorman1989

    Remember, no pre-orders.

Also, what’s the point in pre-ordering a digital game? They’re not going to run out of copies.

  25. European devs have been making great games at 40-50$, Expedition 33, Baldours Gate 3, Tempest Rising…

  26. CC-5576-05

Hahahaha that’s downright cheap compared to the EU. The BASE game costs 80 EUR, that’s 92 USD or 125 CAD…
