Elena and the Season 3 patch for Street Fighter 6 were recently released. It would seem that CR|Dogura has already secured himself as the top Elena player according to the online leaderboards.
As such, The FGC Place has uploaded a bunch of match footage featuring Dogura piloting Elena in a variety of online match ups. Needless to say, it could serve as a useful source of figuring out how to play Elena in Street Fighter 6 by observing one of the best players using her.
Throughout these videos, Dogura goes up against Moke’s Chun-Li, Tachikawa’s Ed, Cosa’s Ryu, Tormieshi’s Dhalsim and Junior’s Zangief. Notably, these players are also highly ranked with their respective characters.
The match up against Ryu is particularly interesting since many players perceive Ryu as being the biggest winner of the Season 3 patch. Of course, it should be mentioned that Elena is armed with anti-fireball tools that give her unique advantages in this particular match up.
Overall, Dogura plays extremely patiently with Elena, often keeping opponents at specific distances while he pressures them with the character’s long-reaching kick normals. Afterwards, he keeps them guessing with Elena’s ambiguous overhead and low attacks.
For the time being, it’s difficult to determine what sort of impact Elena’s presence in Street Fighter 6 will have on the overall meta. While her tier placement currently stands as a mystery, Dogura has a way of making her look very strong in these videos.
