This looks surprisingly good. I’m continuely impressed. However it seems they achieved this mainly by reducing the NPC density. There’s wayyy fewer people in the streets as on PS5, and that one probably has less than PC.

Can you attest this? Are there less NPC’s and cars?

That looks incredible! I heard people saying it runs similar to PS4 but this looks way beyond that.

This looks way better than I expected.

    Also, fuck Nintendo

Having played Cyberpunk first on Xbox, then on a 4070 ti PC, and now seeing this, while it looks good for a switch port, I might have to wait for a sale cause this version looks so barren. I wouldn’t mind playing through it again on it for the right price though.

Nintendo fans when they finally see a game that’s not some cartoon mario kart and super smash bros bullshit.

Apart from the switch 2 conversation, I think this is a testament on how well optimized Cyberpunk is overall. I’m constantly surprised to see how beautiful and yet super well optimized the game is. It took a long time but the results are nothing short of impressive, whether on consoles or PC.

I feel like NVIDIA designed the silicon around this game.

I’m sure that’s crazy talk, but still.

legit looks and plays like a 3050, very impressive

  9. prodigalsunz

So little people around, it looks like a Bethesda game.

  10. looks like even lower population density than the lowest setting on PC. besides that it looks pretty solid though

Wow it actually looks like an absolute ghost town. I’m so use to Jig Jig street being full of people.

  12. trebla1158

Damn, who would thought the future was so bleak and empty? What a bummer.

  13. TheDiscord1988

Oh wow it can run a 5 year old game with heavily reduced NPCs and DLSS. Color me (not) surprised.

sry but i despise nintendo’s business practices so so much xD

ITT: people with $4000 rigs upset that other people can have fun playing on a $600 handheld.

So walking and panning slowly looks ok? Now do a full fps fight scene with hacks, time slowing, and explosions.

Better yet, show me a full speed driving video where the frames are locked and not dipping. I’ll wait.

While I know it’s less Npc than pc and ps5, the 10 hours I have in so far are not this barren and I am actively looking for it. Even got attacked by random gang vehicles. Not saying I have a magical switch 2. Maybe at a certain part of game it dumps down. What I see is decent enough since it was just fodder anyways

The graphics do indeed look really good. But holy cow is it empty. It’d weird me out to play it that way after having played it before. “Where is everyone?”

  18. SgtNeilDiamond

My PC is by no means new or super high-end, but this honestly rivals it. Impressive

  19. And yet Game Freak is going to continue releasing ugly as hell, completely bland and graphically stagnant pokemon games

  20. Wait, a game that came out several years ago runs on modern hardware?! I am so surprised considering it runs pretty well on other low end handhelds. Who would have thought it would work on the newest handheld to hit the market? Its not like they said it would work on this hardware or anything. So surprising. What’s next? A mario or zelda game on a Nintendo product? That has never happened before.

  21. GeneralKosmosa

I mean it’s alright I guess… but then again the game is almost 5 years old now, so….

  22. ShaoKahnDeezNutz

I’m starting to think most of these “X game on the switch 2” posts are advertising

  23. XL_Sausage

I think that for those players who are new to the game and are first experiencing it on Switch 2, the sparse density of traffic and NPC’s won’t impede the experience, you don’t miss what you never had.

However, the dense crowds and traffic on PC/PS5 is a large part of what makes Night City feel ‘alive’ – it is certainly jarring to see the city so empty.

  24. LaserCondiment

Where are the people?! Night City is nothing without all those fantastic NPCs! The fashion! The weirdness!

Empty jig jig street is just sad.

  25. WeylandGabo

I see something. IDK probably it’s me but I see some performance and changes visual of course part from the Switch 2 but probably the game receive a lot of fixes because something are not fixed yet. I’m excited for the next patches 🙂‍↔️
