I’m just waiting for 32gb to become more affordable

  2. No-Manufacturer-2425

    *checks device info* FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  3. Yabe_uke

6GB when I bought mine. What the fuck happened to Moore’s Law, mane…

  4. LutimoDancer3459

He wont be disappointment for how much vram he can get. Just about how much it costs

  5. Fusseldieb

The day 48GB becomes available for a reasonable consumer price, I’m building a rig.

  6. Takeasmoke

i’m 1080p player and they say 8 GB is enough RAM for that, which is true (to the extent) but it is really off putting when my 2060 super purchased 5 years or so ago has 8 GB RAM and GPU in same tier today is also 8 GB, yeah it is faster and has newer tech but is it worth the money? for me it is not

i went from 256 MB to 1 GB to 3 GB to 8 GB and i expect my next GPU to be *at least* 10 GB but preferably 12 so lets hope next gen brings us reasonably priced 10-12 GB card

  7. the_ebastler

2013 card with 8 GB VRAM? One of the rare unicorn 290X 8 GB? Even the OG Titan from 2013 had only 6 GB…

  8. IronMaidenFan

It’s the first time my phone has more ram than my gpu

  9. rainorshinedogs

NVIDIA: “folks, I know you’ve been waiting for an upgrade on ram in GPUs…..but I something better………fake frames!!! Eh?!?!”

  10. Orchid_Road_6112

Bruh, I just jumped from 4GB to 8GB. I’ll stick to 1080p with 144hz anyway

  11. Or: ”oh wow, now I can play GTA VI already” and then disappointment hits

  12. Tristana-Range

Tbf in 2013 8gb was by no means standard. We all had 3-4gb and when the gtx 1060 came out everyone had 6gb.

  13. fieryfox654

Mine was 6GB until 2 years ago upgraded to 12GB (1060 to 6700XT)

  14. foolofkeengs

Add a level of confusion: “Sure, you can buy a 12GB Intel GPU”

  15. CoconutLetto

I know it’s a meme, but 2016 would have been a better year to put considering the most likely possibly for a 8GB GPU in 2013 would have been the PS4/XBone with some other options being 3 different options for Intel Xeon Phi or the Quadro K5100M

  16. fucksurnamesandyou

Litterally looked it up couple days ago and an Nvidia 2080 is about at the same price as i7, but a 32gb RAM is like at a 6th of the price. WHY? I actually want an answer

  17. External_Antelope942

    >8GB VRAM

    >2013

R9 390X (first 8gb GPU that was “affordable”, but certainly not popular) was 2015

RX 480 8GB and GTX 1070/1080 were all 2016 and was the true beginning of 8gb gpus

  18. yabucek

Oh look the same old nonsensical complaint that this sub has been circlejerking about for years.

Can you please elaborate which 2013 gaming card had 8GB of VRAM? And I assume you’re talking about lower mid range cards, since that’s where you get 8GB these days.

  19. ManTurnip

I’m old enough to vaguely remember very early cards being RAM expandable. Imagine that these days, buy an 8GB card because it’s enough, then upgrade to 16 or 32 when needed…

OK, time for me to shuffle off back to the nursing home.

  20. Graham_Wellington3

Pretty sure they didn’t have 8gb back then

  21. Winter_Ad6784

What graphics card had 8 gb in 2013?

  22. Mobius650

Let me get a new EVGA graphic card so I can check out these DLSS and path-tracing the kids are waving about. Oh wait….

  23. Spitfiree1911

Meanwhile I’m cruising in with 24GB that cost less than 1k with the 7900xtx

  24. Same_Topic8742

Troll nurse. How would he know how much time has passed since 2013 if he just woke up from a coma

  25. FeaR_FuZiioN

I haven’t laughed this hard in weeks, thank you lol

  26. ostapenkoed2007

i still have a 8gb one cus i can not have one that is different size than one that is in motherboard.

  27. Yodawithboobs

That dude had a 8gb vram graphics card in 2013??? The Nvidia GTX 980 ti had only 6 GB and that card came out like 2014/2015.

  28. Cramulinho

My 1070ti’s still breathing and giving me reasons to turn on the PC
