Why does Nikolai classify himself as a Soviet? The events of Origins take place in 1918, and the Soviet Union wasn’t established until 1922, and Russian Empire is gone at that time. So it should’ve been “Russian Empire Nikolai”, just like Primis Richtofen, aka, “German Empire Richtofen.” Am I wrong, or just projecting this?

the word soviet had been in use for a little over a decade by the time origins takes place; further, the russian soviet federative socialist republic was established in 1917 following the revolution and the disposing of the tsar and his family. so its not far fetched that primis nikolai calls himself a soviet and is likely indicative of which side of the russian civil war he supported
