So I bought a 7800X3D and installed everything — latest drivers, latest BIOS, everything.
I enabled PBO (I can only enable it, unfortunately — no option for undervolting).
Before the latest BIOS update, my CPU was reaching 4.9 to even 5.0 GHz, shown in OCCT.
Now, I see these strange readings in OCCT — the CPU fluctuates between 400 MHz and 1112 MHz.
What’s going on?
When I run a benchmark, it only goes up to 4.7 GHz in OCCT, but after drops again to this extreme low speeds.
The weird thing is, in Task Manager and HWiNFO, I can see the CPU jumping between the “normal” clock speeds.

– Power Plan is set to Performance.
– RAM is running with EXPO enabled.
So my question is:
Why isn’t it boosting up to 4.9–5.5 GHz anymore?
And why does OCCT show such low clock speeds now? The CPU never used to drop that low in frequency…
Is my CPU Fried or broken or anything?
