One year later when all the hype has died down for it, why do game companies still do this?

They must have downgrade a lot of visuals and effects for it to be playable on the Xbox Series S. I am guessing the games setting must be equal to PC Low setting on the Series S while the Series X gets a Medium or High PC settings.

I hope it runs better or it’s play anywhere cause I am not getting that unoptimized mess on console. I tried it on ps5 and nope out.
