Finally got some time to play this game. Any advice for a newbie like me ? I love story rich games.
I did finish Witcher 3 a while ago which is from the same studio. I loved both the main game and the two DLCs. So expecting a similar experience from this since it's been a while this came out and most of the early release bugs have been fixed.

Main story will seem urgent. It really isn’t and you can take all the time you want.
The big story side missions are essentially optional main story content. Don’t skip them.
The first time is really special, dont ask andvice and no guides! The game is worthy going in blindly! 😀

Don’t spoil any main events even in the expansion that’s the most fun part in any cdpr is the writing and choices you’re gonna make.

Surprising how after so many updates and so many bugs fixed, they still haven’t updated this low pixel title screen.

If you want to balance the different types of missions in your playthrough i would do it like this: Main mission, 2 NCPDs Side mission, Gig, repeat.

Welcome to night city choom. Take your time and don’t speed run the main quest. Immerse yourself in the city and don’t fast travel
If you have phantom liberty, don’t feel like you have to wait to finish the main story to start it

Play the side content. The main missions can be done really quickly but the real meat is the side content (and PL)

Don’t rush the main story and hit up the gigs and side quests. It’s really good and one of my favorite games
Don’t skip side quests as some of them are tied to the main story and romances, and can also unlock more endings to the game. Take it slow, enjoy the game, do gigs to level up and get stronger + read shards as a lot of the game’s lore is explained this way. And stay far enough from this subreddit until you finish the game + DLC
