LLMs don’t “know” if they sell their data, they just choose believable words. But also, I don’t doubt that Google monetizes Gemini by, beside other things, selling data to data brokers.
What people don’t get about generative ai is that it really doesn’t think, it tries to predict most probable response to a sentence (basically). So if it’s trained on a data set that says that all AI spies on you it will say that all AI spies on you

It’s only 4Gb, you’ll need a GPU of course and some ram, but if you ain’t got that in 2025, idk what shitbox you’re running

I guess I was just under the assumption that they all do it anyway, regardless if they say so or not.
Often people don’t care.
And then they wonder why they have expensive insurance or companies soon will not even have an interview with that person or don’t give any raises, finding the perfect reason/excuse for that person why or can’t buy certain things or worse….nullify some of rights because they already know everything about that user and you have no leverage against.
Why are you surprised, it’s a google product. If you want privacy, switch to Apple. Sure it costs more, but that’s just because their stuff isn’t subsidized by the sale of your data like google does with android.
