We all knew. Bonus points for tile floor.

Happens to the best of us. I got lucky, mine stayed mostly together. Didn’t have a bunch of shards everywhere

When I was raging about it my dad just informed me of what would’ve happened if it were normal non tempered glass

you did it to yourself, the tiles man the tiles 🤦‍♂️

  4. Cipher_null0

Well at least it’s a high air flow case now.

OP, can i ask you a question? Before this, had you not seen any posts on pcmr about tempered glass and tile floors?

  6. BuffaloBuffalo13

It’s always a tile floor. When will word get out to not put tempered glass on a tile floor?

  7. Bakugawn

Yeah funny enough I had just helped a buddy and I literally didn’t put it on tile floor for his and then I was like “yeah, I’ll do mine too”. It was just an unfortunate im forgor moment

can you even buy a replacement in these situations?

  9. Save those shards. A little hot glue and some patience…and you’ve got the perfect “welcome” mat for your front door. No solicitors are going to knock with that sitting there to greet them.

The corner/edges are the most fragile. That tile was the main problem though.

Oh look… a tile floor… i wonder if there’s some kind of correlation between that and shattered side panels…

    Sorry for your loss though

Reset the counter boys, we got another one!

  13. Tech-Mechanic

Seeing photos like this posted every few days have convinced me to never get a case with glass panels.

I’ve even seen more than one person claim that theirs just randomly shattered without being touched.

I always find these posts hilarious.

You have my condolences. I hope you can get a replacement for cheap.

Can someone explain to me why this occurs?

Oof. Tile Floor final boss wins again. 🙁

  17. TheGoldblum

Hmmm I wonder how that could have happened

  18. sirfannypack

Are people just dumb and forget not to put cases on tile?

  19. Mediocrewowtank

    I can hear this picture.
    KaPSSSSHHHHHHHH

  20. Ngl with the amount of people breaking their side panel.
It definitely feels like a profitable business model

  21. crayzee4feelin

Well as long as you didn’t fk the PCIe slot and your GPUs pcie, I’m sure you could just transfer the parts to another case and be fine.

Edit: I was assuming you dropped your whole PC, maybe you just dropped the side panel?

Another tile floor… reset the counter!

I feel like we get one of these bi-weekly. Even though some of the components I have inside the case have LED crap, I still have a full enclosed metal side Corsair case, under the desk and hidden like an old. Some light leaks out, but I only configured it to match the keyboard and mouse color for continuity. With how often I get in there to change stuff or fix/clean it, reducing a failure point is a big plus since I am not displaying the thing like a sign of status. Nothing wrong with showing off a fantastic build though, mine is function over fashion though.

100 percent of these images contain tiles.
