Only ever heard of this recently. What’s the point of steeling the die and vram? Didn’t know there was a black market for that

So is there even any use for anyone fpr a gpu without the vram? I mean it’s one of the main parts. I can only imagine if maybe someone knows how to solder like a pro and can desolder a chip from a broken card and put it on this one.

It’s on Kijiji as well but I can’t say much as I also got scammed as well

Poor guy, I would consider buying it to make a wall art decoration of it.

I know the feeling. Happened to me and I still have the card not sure what I wanna do with a 1500$ usd brick

Does Amazon sell the exact same card? Asking for a friend.

  7. So how would the scammer even use the missing parts?

I seen that on marketplace too lol maybe they took the die and put it onto a 3090ti pcb to diy the 4090 ti

is there actual call for this? I mean who tf de-solders the gpu and ram? seems like a specialist thing? and if the board works they have to solder these parts onto a new board for what purpose?

Put it on a 4070 makes it a 4080 trust
