I’m not sure I’ve seen this explicitly stated previously, but you can create Blackout lobbies where you and your boosting group are the only people in the game – which is useful if you and your buddies are trying to unlock characters for the “Blackout Historian“ or “Zombie Fanatic” trophy / achievements.
It’s not trivial to do, but for many, it might still be easier than doing the unlocks/wins legit.
Alcatraz:
- You need 3 “squad leader” consoles, connected via VPN connected to a ‘dead’ region (I used Australia at 1am their time)
- You can have the 3 consoles yourself, or you and 2 buddies can have a console + VPN each.
- Each console has 2 controllers connected = 6 accounts
- Then have 4 other controllers join your squads. This can be 4 consoles with 1 controller each, or 2 consoles with 2 controllers each. These consoles do NOT have to be VPN’d.
- Now you have 10 accounts in squads across 3 consoles.
Start an Alcatraz match, and enjoy unlocking characters with no randoms
Large Map:
- Exactly the same, except you need 20 accounts instead of 10
- So, 5 “squad leader” consoles, all connected via VPN
- Fill each squad with 4 accounts = 20 accounts.
