same with their store fronts – the Microsoft Store in Windows and the Xbox store. Utterly ugly and entirely useless.
They absolutely suck as design aesthetics.
They do look very off-brand, but I’ve never seen them outside of your post.
Probably use AI to generate them to save money.

I like them, simple, curvy, and a colorful design. Whenever I see Microsoft’s logos they just connect and look clean. No hate I understand that some may not like them.

If you’re not in it I can see how frustrating this can be. I am in IT and if I go to look for one more mother fucking service that I have used for years only to find that the “portal has moved” and now no longer even works right, I am going to have a very early retirement.
Idk, it looks fun! I like the vibrant side of it. Their current logos are so drab and boring. I do with the shapes were more indicative of what they represent though.

Microsoft is just having a mid life crisis and is trying to look young and trendy.
Change for the sake of it describes most modern corporate design pretty well.
Why do they do a lot of things? I personally think its just for the sake of it. “look how dynamic we are”, tiresome.
