As someone who actively enjoyed BO4 zombies quite a bit… I still can’t over the switch up it’s had with some of the community. Don’t get me wrong, there are still people that despise this version of zombies, but it’s just funny to see
Dead of the Night has a nice to ring to it. Especially for someone who enjoys 50’s to 80’s supernatural slop movies

I didn’t really play it because I wasn’t a fan of BO4 zombies. Maybe I’ll get around to reinstalling it at some point.

I agree 100%, the boss is better than the entirety of the bosses in bocw and bo6 by far. Bo4’s perk system works amazing here with the different areas all being vital to the map in different ways and the fucking stake knife is my favorite melee weapon in zombies, fucking nosferatus can eat my peen
BO4’s good maps are really really held back by the gameplay mechanics, DOTN is one of my faves as well but the gameplay should’ve been an evolution on what was done before rather then a whole rework.
This map would probably be in most peoples S tier if it had BO1/BO2/BO3 gameplay.
Bro fr if you take the time to learn the map its genuinely one of the best maps ever made. The WW is probably one of the best ever plus the atmosphere is unmatched. Top 10 map for me imo
Even me, a clinger to the BO3 golden era, can agree that BO4 was not as bad as people made it out to be. DotN was fun as hell too. Fun wonder weapons, and the specialists available for that version of zombies were fun to use.
I think BO4 tried something new and it ultimately changed too much but for some reason Treyarch just leaned way too heavy into it with future releases. If they had just stepped back a little bit into the original formula (no perk load outs, more limited starting load outs, etc) then future zombies could’ve have been perfect. I think specialists are fine. Gobblegum is an option you don’t have to use. And wraith fire was a little busted, but I think it’s fine.

Eh. DOTN for me is the epitome of the biggest problem in BO4, over complication for the sake of over complication

I love this map, genuinely my 2nd favourite bo4 map and in my top 10 of all time. would have been my no.1 on bo4 if it wasn’t for Ancient evil

i never hated this map just was never interested in it cause i only cared about aether story, chaos was pretty peak tho just voyage was boring for me
Funny how this map went from hated, to polarizing, to mostly loved. One of my top 5 maps!

Honestly the Easter Egg doesn’t feel as overly complicated as people make it out to be. Maybe once you’re played enough Easter Eggs, you start to get used to doing a lot.
It was good map I just think the community’s expectations were high because of bo3
Mid of the Night
Ive spent so many hours playing this map.
The only critique i have is the hit detection on the vampires is appaling. Pricks jump across the room akd teleport behind you. They hit you through a shield. Ive just learnt to deal with them but its abit of a shock to a new player
Not peak, but a great map in my opinion.
