Headstomper is back after a year’s hiatus and will be happening in Malmö, Sweden as a co-operative effort between the southern Swedish and Danish fighting game communities.

This event has two spots for the Esports World Cup — one for Tekken 8 and one for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, so hopefuls are definitely looking to get qualification for a chance at that $1,000,000 prize pool for each game.
There’s also tons of circuit action with Headstomper 2025 being a Challenger event for Tekken 8 on the Tekken World Tour, a SNK World Championship qualifier for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves and a Gold event on the Arc World Tour for both Guilty Gear Strive and Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising.
In accordance with the stakes, many players have shown up to compete. Tekken 8 leads the pack with over 160 participants followed by Street Fighter 6 at around 115 players and then Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves with over 110 signups. Guilty Gear Strive has more than 90 registrants and Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising sits at over 80 competitors.
Side tournament action is also going to be present aplenty with Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, Under Night In-Birth 2 [Sys:celes], BlazBlue: Central Fiction, Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike and Skullgirls: 2nd Encore all being played as well as a special Mystery Game Tournament to round out the roster.
