Battle Arena Melbourne is back for its 15th installment here in 2025 and it’ll be happening in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Battle Arena Melbourne 15 has extremely high stakes this year — first of all, all three Esports World Cup games have qualifying spots here with a whopping 4 of them available for Tekken 8, 2 for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves and 1 for Street Fighter 6.

As for tournament circuits, Tekken 8 has even more at stake as it’s a Master Event on the Tekken World Tour. Battle Arena Melbourne 15 is also a qualifying event for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves on the SNK World Championship circuit as well as a Gold+ event on the Arc World Tour for both Guilty Gear Strive and Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising.

Tekken 8 leads the charge in entrants with almost 230 signed up followed by Street Fighter 6 at more than 160 competitors and Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves sitting at over 70 signups. Guilty Gear Strive has over 30 participants followed by Skullgirls: 2nd Encore, Capcom vs. SNK 2, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Samurai Shodown, Mortal Kombat 1 and Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. all crossing the 20 player mark.

There will also be tournament play for Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike, Sonic the Fighters, Lethal League Blaze, Under Night In-Birth 2 [Sys:celes], Killer Instinct, Pokkén Tournament DX, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Super Street Fighter 2: Turbo, BlazBlue: Central Fiction, Touhou Hisoutensoku, Soul Calibur 6, Melty Blood Actress Again Current Code, Vampire Savior (Darkstalkers) and Marvel vs. Capcom 2.
