    Be me circa 2006

Mom rented this from blockbuster for me randomly

They didn’t log it or something and got to keep it for free šŸ”„šŸ¤ŸšŸ¼

All I ever did was drive around and kill people šŸ˜‚ never got in to the story

  3. Metalicks

Is the game where every level ended with the city in ruins?

  4. NerdyFlannelDaddy

This was a very good game and fun for co-op too.

Grappling hook on helicopters was fun. I remember using the helicopter winch to pick up a tank and flying while my co-op partner was in the tank shooting at things.

I wish this game was on modern gen’s as a downloadable. Closest game I can get to it currently is Just Cause 2.

Would love an HD remaster. Such a fun game

  6. Em0latino

Leveling every city while using cheats to have unlimited rockets was so fun! I don’t even remember the story 🤣

  7. NecroticOverlord

Never played the game but the music on the advert was just epic

  8. HumbleCookieDog

RIP pandemic studios. Shut down in the middle of making Star Wars battlefront 3.

  9. silentbob1301

God I would kill for a good sequel, shit even a remake…

  10. Is this the game where you could blow up buildings? I remember destroying a city but never actually finished the game.

  11. I remember the marketing for this when it came out. Cosplay actors and cosplay jeeps shut down a Valero or some shit and offered free gas for a few hours.

    …something like that

  12. Blaze_The_God

Awesome. This was a great game, i played it like crazy until i discovered just cause 2

  13. Why remind me of this gold?
I really wish they do something for ps5.. this and the first one was legendary!

  14. GERIKO_STORMHEART

I never even really cared all that much about the campaign. I used to just jump in and spend hours blowing stuff up 🤣. Actually now that I think of it I am pretty sure I got all the way up to the last mission and then stopped progressing. I kept it there for like a year and anytime I felt bored with other games I would just log in a wreck stuff for awhile

The closest I get to these style of games now is Ubisoft’s junk. Where are the near-modern shooter RPGs with money, upgrades, story, etc?

  16. xAshcroftx

I have it on origin that might need to get installed

  17. Darth_Chain

im always reminded of Yahtzees nickname for this game “mercenaries 2. hooray for airstrikes”

  18. RocketSurgeon15

“I shall call you lobesia. We’re gonna go kill a loooot of people lobesia.”

  19. Helldivers 2 is the closest thing to this wonderful game

  20. The first Mercenaries and Twisted Metal: Black were my go to third person driving games

  21. Funroomielol777

I loved this one, so much fun back in the day. Different factions, defending your bases, and the nukes were an awesome feature.

Lol every one just singing the song in the comments! šŸ¤£šŸ‘ saw a pretty sweet Deadpool amv with that song once.

  22. SharkPicnic

Ooohhhhhh hell yeah!!!! I loved these games back in the day. I can’t even count how many endless hours were spent playing them.

  23. I have never heard of this game but I can tell from the cover art it’s a banger

  24. fusionsofwonder

Fucking love that game. Rocket artillery and fuel air munitions all day long.

  25. southernswmpymist

At the time this was a better alternative to GTA, one of the best games ever for the 360.
