New update gives + 50 gulag health which means pistols will be 1 or 2 more shots to kill. If you dont have aim assist and you get sent to the gulag might as well get up and get snacks and water cause youre chances of winning just significantly went down.

Run to cover where potential controller player can’t see you. While you wait for lethals to become active, listen carefully to get an indication of opponent’s location.
Throw smoke at your feet, and throw lethal to possible angle of opponent, and explore edges of smoke. Do not get out of smoke.
Catch glimpse of opponent, fire while walking back into the smoke.
Win.

And use your melee in smoke. Dump mag into opponent, run around in smoke with knife, and finish it off.

You need to play time and find the guy before he notices you.
Then you have to out-reflex the guy and be mobile. You also need to figure out which gun you have, if there’s plenty of ammo in the mag don’t hesitate to empty it on the general vicinity of the opponent.
From what I saw you’re not mobile enough, you need to take cover and hide if you know you can’t win a fight. Smoke + knife can also save you.
I’m on MNK and win most of my gulags in ranked. My main issue RN is spectator’s footsteps, it adds too much audio clutter so you can’t always rely on sound.

You didn’t play that to your advantage even remotely; you started off overzealous sliding into the middle, cleared left lane but then slid away from the cover that separated you from him, he was smart and shoulder peeked you out in no mans land. I hear what everyone says about aim assist and I can kind of understand, but at the same time in my opinion it’s also nonsense. The only people who would complain about aim assist are those who aren’t really that good with keyboard and mouse, because there are really good players with controller and MNK and if you’re good, it shouldn’t be a problem.
I’m a PS5 gamer and always been a controller gamer and I’m really good, but one of my friends is a PC gamer and he’s insanely good at MNK and I don’t stand a chance against him over 50% of the time.
You just need to practice more or start learning to use a controller on PC, which gives you aim assist.
If one freaking plate means you can’t win anymore then I’m sorry but that’s a skill issue. Stop blaming the hardware.
