I recently reset my computer and ever since my idle temps and clock speeds are just too high, I downloaded MSI Afterburner to monitor it more closely, followed a few internet guides and messed with the nvidia control panel as well (power management setting) and restarted a few times but I can't seem to figure out where the problem is. I even took out the GPU and cleaned my pc case in case it was a ventilation issue, but the issue persists. I also found in another forum that the issue could be linked to a multiple monitor setup so I made sure to unplug my second monitor but to no avail.

  1. Try nvidia subreddit or a similar sub. This has nothing to do with overclocking.
