The Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics was released just last year. This collection has renewed hype and speculation amongst the fans that “Marvel vs. Capcom 4” could actually be possible now that Capcom and Marvel are working together once again.
As such, Justin Wong has taken it upon himself to poll players at LVL UP EXPO 2025 on which combatants they’d like to see join the roster for Marvel vs. Capcom 4. Of course, this means that players can choose characters from either company in this mental exercise.
Of course, there were a number of fans that simply wanted to see the return of some favorites that have appeared throughout the series thus far. Characters like Gambit, Dante, Dr. Strange and more came up fairly often as a result.
During the video, we also heard about a number of interesting newcomers that feel like they’re overdue for an appearance in a Marvel vs. Capcom title. Leon S. Kennedy from the Resident Evil series is clearly a popular pick as numerous players want to play as him in a Marvel vs. Capcom environment.
Some other interesting picks included V and Lady from Devil May Cry 5, Nightcrawler and Beast from X-Men, Gene from God Hand, Sagat from Street Fighter, Gwen Stacey from Spider-Gwen and more.
With the success of Marvel Rivals, a number of characters mentioned in the video also feel inspired from that game. It’s difficult to imagine a character like Jeff the Land Shark getting a shout out without his appearance in Marvel Rivals, after all.
