Damn bro showing me memories I forgot I had. This shit was so hard as kid

That’s funny, I replayed the game for the first time in maybe 15 years not long ago, I was expecting this mini-game to be absolutely dreadful… and it took me like 3 or 4 tries. When I played in randomizer mode a few weeks later, I did it first try. It’s a little annoying, but it’s really not hard, I’ve hated way more the moles in the Precursor Basin, or the rings in the same level.

I remember playing jak & daxter as a kid and never making it to the blue sage bossfight cause i was too young and dumb. Bought the pack on ps4 a couple of years ago and beat it 100% all precursor orbs in a couple of hours. I can’t believe how bad i was at this game as a kid

  4. Na, the Lion King game with no save states is peak childhood frustration.

I literally played this section of the game like 2 days ago and it definitely was frustrating

This reminds me of that one fishing game from the legend of Zelda twilight princess I could never get that stupid crib I had to get my older Silbling to do it for me when I replayed it when I was older I got it the first time

Man you haven’t seen frustrating until you put it on Hard mode.

After you beat the initial mini game, stand next to the Fisherman and click (Left, Left, Right, Right, Left, Left, Right, Right, X). This will let you talk to him again and play without end

Jake and Daxter always had this way of making you have to do some kind of mitigate and God forbid you sucked at it because it was a primary mission that couldn’t be skipped.

Jetboard, racing, rocket driving, hell they even had a whack a mole game.

Fun fact! The Fisherman who gives you this mission is voiced by none other than Kevin Conroy. You know…BATMAN!

Just got some PTSD from trying to platinum that on my PS4. Some people just want to watch the world burn.

Honestly, this one wasn’t to hard. I remember my brothers had a really hard time with it, I think I beat it on my second or third try. *We took turns once one of us failed*. I actually went back and did it again on another save file, and apparently, my brother’s thought it was wild I beat it at the time they told other kids at school who just got the ps2 as well. Before you knew it I beat it at like three of my childhood friends houses. 🤣 Good times and my top favorite game. Still log into the Playstation now and again to play these through.

  12. The dumbest thing was that fish that you *missed* counted against you. Like I get starting over if you catch too many poison fish, but why throw out the good catches just cuz a few too many slipped by? *There are clearly plenty of fish swimming by, you don’t need literally all of them, Captain.*

I love this game but this is like the one Power Cell I actively dislike getting.

  13. I just started my yearly playthrough of this the other day, what an amazing game.

Holy shit i just assumed any Jak and Daxter fans died of old age by now… good to see one alive and kicking!

My little child brain was screaming at this mission. But also it was such a fun one.

  16. Fuck I’ve been nostalgic for this trilogy for a decade. Anyone have any luck playing on pc? I wouldn’t mind spending reasonable money on it if it stays true to form and is worth it. Last ps2 I played was legaia 2 and that one was better as a memory than a revisit

Water temple in OOC had me stuck for forever as a kid

I really loved that mini game as kid, so much so after I beat it I played it again just to that spot then quit.
