Why does this mouse even exist?! Its the most uncomfortable mouse design in the modern era!

This mouse is a crime against humanity.

That and the Apple mice are just horrible. I got one of these for my lady’s Surface, absolutely the worst thing ever.

Because it’s unbeatable in portability. I hate using it but when I flatten it and stick it in a flat pocket…..🤌

I have one, it is a love and hate relationship. It is the worse mouse I have. But it is the most amazing and perfect mouse after spending minutes\hours struggling with my trackpad and then realize I had packed it and forgot about it.

Get one (as long as it is cheap) and drop in your backpack, you’ll thank me.

It’s not that bad. Far from the best, sure, but perfectly usable.

And so absurdly portable that nothing out there can beat it.

Not be loving my Arc Touch Mouse… 😭

So much I was sad it doesn’t work on android tablets

  8. CandusManus

Because it folded flat and was part of the minimalist chic.

  9. Technobilby

I have a Microsoft one. Simulated wheel mouse clicks as well. Love the thing for on the go meetings and that it turns off when you flatten it. I wouldn’t want to use it as a primary mouse though, my workhorse mouse is a MX master.

    The windows arc mouse.

I used that to game on my surface pro 2 I got for Christmas.

Played so much Intruders and Minecraft lol.

It’s for travel, snap it flat and throw it in a bag, and it’s not that bad IMO.

I hate the way the buttons work and the lack of a scroll wheel but i genuinely love the portability of that thing so much. Ive had it for like 2 years of constant college torture. Its been beaten, bent and scratched but it works perfectly no matter what. It works on most surfaces sometimes needing some hand angling and personally ive neever had issues being comfortable holding it.

Edit: reading some more comments people talk about its horrible usage for fps games. I use it for school and strategy/base building games so i dont have any experience with that lol

  13. wedgieinhumanform

My users keep buying them. 🤷‍♂️

  14. femboysprincess

The apple magic mouse still exists tho?

  15. rfmocan

I had the Chinese year of the Dragon. Younger me didn’t care…

But now I’ve moved from that one to all the their Sculpt, Natural mouses to other vertical mice and now to trackballs.
I get the idea: Its useful if you travel. But now I don’t mind carrying a smaller trackball and having a big one (Kensington Expert) at the office. Just looking at this pics made my forearm hurt 🤣

  16. casey_h6

It’s a travel mouse. Thorw it in my backpack and use it at the airport, takes up no space and does a good enough job for the short periods I need it.

  17. mr_gooses_uncle

Then you haven’t used an apple mouse lol

  18. shootemupy2k

I still use one. The fact that it folds flat makes it such a great travel mouse. Yes it’s uncomfortable, but as a travel mouse, I’m not using it all day anyway.

  19. okarnando

I have one of these. I keep it in my “portfolio” thing so when I have to run to meetings with my laptop.

  20. warriorscot

Its better than no mouse and it depends on your grip, I’ve had two and they’re great for carrying around. It’s only recently that I’ve switched to a propoint mouse with a pen grip for travelling, but even though it’s smaller it’s still less handy to carry than the arc.

  21. 0pp0site0fbatman

I had one. Kept it in my backpack 24/7 and used a proper mouse. On the odd occasion when I forgot my real mouse, there it was, to save me from using my tiny surface pro trackpad. I did have a colleague (sales director) who used his all day every day. Looked painful.

Id like to introduce you to the magic mouse and Logitech peble.

  23. jjcre208

I think Apple’s mouse would like to have a word. They are trying really hard to achieve the title you gave the Surface mouse

  24. beagleprime

Pretty sure one came with the old Surfaces, wasn’t bad in that context – just needing a mouse to keep in a bag and occasionally use

  25. Hunterrcrafter

A friend of mine actually had this one! The portability and satisfying-ness is unbeatable, though I’d much rather use a good trackpad.

  26. shadowedfox

The Apple mice as far worse imo. I can’t actually them because my hand hurts almost instantly

  27. tharagz08

Loved it when i traveled a lot. Worked good on surfaces I didn’t expect

  28. I dont think portability is a good argument. If you carry a laptop around, you dont just hold it with your handy, you’ve got a backpack or bag for it. Most if not all backpacks have enough space for something like that steelseries wireless mouse. 10x better mouse ergonomically, pretty small as well and no cables, just throw it in. I see literally no point in a mouse like this

  29. mundoid

Apple inspired form over function junk.
People stating portability, how much room does a regular wireless mouse take up? I’ve had one in my laptop bag forever and not once have I ever thought “Gee this mouse is just way too big”

  30. Significant_Bad_1147

The Microsoft wedge mouse has a couple f things to say about portable, useless and uncomfortable.

  31. KowalskiTheGreat

I actually really really liked mine, it was great for a portable mouse. Easy to take out of your bag and turn on without looking. I should try to find another surface edition one

  32. GovtInMyFillings

I had the OG Arc Keyboard and Mouse for my LAN computer back in the day. Sure that sucked a bit, but I’m bad at games anyway and I could fit my whole rig minus monitor in a repurposed cooler bag. Case was the Silverstone SG01 modded to allow me to use a 120mm watercooling setup, shit was so cash.

  33. ProfessionalGuess897

As a travellling businessman who lived in hotels and always on a laptop. When these first came out they were a great invention. A bit dated by nowadays standards tho

  34. Commercial_Brief_362

my dad has this redneck gamer set which is pretty sick, anyways he uses a mouse that we call “THE BRICK” as its a big box with 2 buttons, a scrollwheel and a slight slope, and he says “if it still works ima use it”
