    Just… walk away? lol

It goes away if you get far enough

  2. Son0fgrim

yeah. you cant just kill the whole building from the parking lot.
    you gotta play the game.
    Unfortunately for you it seems.

  3. Normal-Scientist-161

Use mod “Disable Reveal Position Hack”

  4. Lopsided_Breakfast31

I’m seeing decent tips here, but one I would recommend is look for cameras, literally any cameras (as there’s at least one) in the outpost or whatever area you’re in, hack it, and the trace will immediately stop.

  5. Cyber_Lexii

Use sonic shock on the target before another quiche hack, it’ll stop you from being tagged while they are under the sonic shock effect

  6. Pandamaniaaa

System wipe is pretty good at dealing with trace. The raven deck is the one I use. I forget if it has a reduced trace

I do a LOT of running in my first 10 levels, because if you can get far enough away fast enough, the attempt fails. It’s annoying, but it gets the job done.

  8. Acceptable-Piglet206

Get the perk that shows who is tracing you.

  9. Load of fucking bums in the comments just whining “iTs A sKiLl iSsUe” like this isn’t a valid thing to be annoyed about

When did this Reddit get so toxic

  10. Hangingnails

It’s another Netrunner. I believe they still show up as orange targets.

  11. I switched to arasaka cyberdeck. Theres something that always fail first tracing. Don’t remember which

  12. AHunkOfMeatyGlobs

Run away! Then come back it will fail the trace and it won’t restart your mission

  13. elIndividuo

Usually they all die or end unconscious before that bar ends filling, there are countermeasures if you don’t manage to do it, like memory wipe

  14. Alexander_Sheridan

Here’s how I do it. Park about half a block away. Where you can just barely reach the camera on the end of the property. Hack it, and then bounce from cam to cam. You can clear out the whole building. And even if they trace you, you’re usually far enough away they won’t come looking. But the time you actually set foot inside, they’re all dead.

Switch to a smart weapon weilding sandy user 😁👍🏼

  16. If you take control of a camera the trace will stop

  17. Robaattousai

Raven with Contagion was my answer to getting traced. They usually start vomiting uncontrollably before the scan can complete.

  18. Phill_Cyberman

There’s also a perk that reduces the trace by 100% after a neutralization.

And Arasaka’s cyberpunk increases the trace time needed to find you.

And at tier 3 Sonic Shock separates the target from their chooms, so you can take them out without alerting anyone (which out for sight and sound issues, though.)

Tbh, I’ve stopped trying to aggressively netrun, I much prefer just using untraceables like Sonic Shock + Smart Sniper rifle, or for difficult targets or targets too close, I use system collapse, which is also untraceable. Sonic shock is super underrated. Unlike memory wipe, it doesn’t cost insane amounts of Ram, and it isolated a target to the point where you can kill them non-stealth and nobody gets alerted.

Generally, putting turrets in assist mode doesn’t trace you either.

But my net running build is really out there. I use the Netwatch Deck for exploding vehicles,.but it kinda sucks for everything else.

Knife throwing or Suppressed Pistol also works great. Especially the Fire Pistol one shots targets to the head pretty early

There’s so many ways to Wipe an entire building before they find you. Netrunner is so OP, I sometimes feel bad for the scavs and militech dudes that are slaughtered while I’m just sitting here drinking coffee and viewing them through the hacked camera.

  21. CorrectionFluid21

It’s kinda annoying in early game but there’s a lot of ways to deal with it after.

  22. GenXer1977

Self Ice will negate this. It’s a type of cyberware. I think it’s the nervous system but I could be wrong.

  23. TheAwesomeKay

There’s a mod to remove it. But I personally love the play style, makes hacking more interactive instead of feeling like a cheat that you insert command npc dies, repeat forever.

Most replies here teaches you how to avoid it with hacks, running away, hacking cameras, etc. But nobody said: ignore it.

You don’t need stealth to netrun, hit the walk button and walk in front door. You can pretty much kill any non mini boss with 1 control + 1 overheat on hard. Anyone what runs at you gets crippled, anyone aiming gets glitched.

Pull a smart SMG to obliterate bosses and cyberpsychos (after 4 stacks of cyberware malfunction!)

If you really want to stealth though, people already helped!
