I would say cod is still fun but the bombardment with shiny weapons and cartoon camos make it feel like a different game. Also I think the maps for the most part are worse.

I actualy remember when cod was actualy good. Cod 1-2-3-4-5. They had actual campaign and a story, and the multiplayer was more of a bonus.
Then the games became all about the multiplayer and the campaigns basicely went to shit.

I feel like this game was a massive downgrade from the first modern warfare. Nothing less fun then spawning, immediately dying to a predator missile. Respawn with a harrier air strike landing on your head, they spawn 5-6 times while a chopper gunner just deletes you the moment you are tangible. I shut off my Xbox 360 dozens of times because of that Bs

This was my first FPS game. I was 10 (I think). I had the CD, and that CD actually installed Steam and downloaded through Steam, back when Steam still had the army green UI. Coincidentally it was my first time with Steam as well. Those were good, simple times. I miss those days.

The MP maps were so good. The game was made by Infinity Ward and was so smooth. They released Black Ops and other games after produced by different teams and they were never as smooth to play. I remember playing BO for the first time thinking this game is dog shit compared to MW2. The campaign was amazing too…

When Black Ops 6 launched on Game Pass I finally played a CoD game since the PS3/360 era.
Playing on the old MW2 maps was so bittersweet. I have fond memories of playing hours and hours on those maps.
But seeing Nick Minage bunny hopping while a flaming skull with a pink rifle sliding halfway across the map completely ruined it.
