Because the Russian armed forces are using the star on their equipment and since Russia (government and it’s assets) is an enemy of the west because of the Russo/Ukrainian war they might have removed the star because of that reason.

The worst was the Frank Woods christmas themed operator, in the pc versions, he has a mistletoe on his belt buckle, they removed that in the Mobile version
