You are telling me this guy rocks the SICKEST mantis blades I have ever seen, a baddass smart weapon that suspends bullets in midair before launching them at you all at once, and the coldest mask and all we get for defeating him is some mid ass sword?

One of the worst parts of cyberpunk is the near complete lack of customization or even uniqueness in looks or even unique arm cyberware in general. Along with general cyberware customization of V overall. The only unique stuff about arm cyberware is green (poison) blue (electricity) red (fire) and normal. And that’s just colour change and some effects. There is nothing unique about any model of for the arm cyberware V can get.

lore wise, it’s probably all cutting-edge inhouse prototypes that’s only available for top ranking Arasaka members, highly customized as well.
If you wanna understand why the player doesn’t get to use his mantis blades, get a mod that enables them. Give it an hour or two and you’ll see.
The things are an occular hazard. I played with a mod adding them a few years ago and my eyes felt like shit after an hour or two
