GTA6s skin textures and subsurface scattering are phenomenal, cyberpunk really have those plasticky looking skin texture, a major upgrade in my opinion but we also have to keep in mind that Cyberpunk 2077 was designed to run on base PS4 and by the time GTA6 releases it would be 6 years old, considering that I think it still holds up as one of the most amazing visuals in video game we have ever seen in this generation

That glass in the final shot is the biggest difference lol

Small props like that are unusually bad and low detail in Cyberpunk.

Damn bro, the efforts are crazy , you deserve a bow *bows down

Well the game is getting up there, still gorgeous of course

Games have better graphics every past year. It is good to see those improvements. Also expecting a great graphics move from cyberpunk orion as well.

Did we get any confirmation if these GTA 6 screenshots were in-game, meaning the user can fly the camera around the subject in real time, like the CyberPunk examples?

Or are they just in-engine, making this a moot comparison?

Example of GTA pre-release screenshots looking better than the actual game.

I understand that gta 6 looks good and stuff but I’ll always prefer a stylized look like cell shading over pure realism it’s boring

Cyberpunk looks great but I do think it looks better in screenshots than in actual gameplay. RDR2 feels much more immersive and realistic to me for example.

The characters in GTA 6 are out of this world in terms of detail, but honestly the city graphics in 77 are still stellar and almost on par (at least in screenshots). Night City is freaking beautiful.

Dude, really went the extra mile with these and it shows, cyberpunk for it’s time has quite good graphocs, but GTA VI is definetly going to blow the industry up, be it good or bad it is probably the most anticipated game of the decade

  10. Dang would love to see more games do these shot for shot comparisons.

Really goes to show marketing needs to improve to better show off these detail differences because they’re easy to miss and you’ll think it’s better but can’t really tell why until you see a direct comparison like here.

    Really interesting!!

Have we all just forgotten that the GTA trailer was rendered press material and not in-game footage lmao?

Great job on getting comparable matches in Cyberpunk! Though I am very skeptical that what we see in these gta 6 promo trailers is an accurate representation of what will be playable on release. Really gotta wait until public gameplay footage is available before making that call

Is this with path tracing as well or what preset?

  14. PapaYoppa

Im enjoying Cyberpunk but i hate when games don’t have the wheel turn fully, shit annoys the fuck out of me lol

Glad to see EOTechs still being used in 2077 😛

Cyberpunk’s graphic is great, but mostly it’s due to the realistic lighting w/ ray-tracing.
GTA6’s graphic looks great not only because of the realistic lightning but also the amount of details of everything within the characters (body muscle, clothes sim, hair sim, sweat…) as well as in the environment.

GtA6 isn’t released yet. And when it does release it will be downgraded just like every other video game in history.

Just a casual reminder that promo screenshots don’t reflect gameplay in motion and use a baked rendering format (i.e. the same as a pre rendered cutscene vs ingame). I’m sure GTA will look great but I highly doubt it’ll look that great all the time.

  19. NokstellianDemon

GTA 6 will have better graphics especially with the art being designed RTGI but I am playing a game at the end of the day and GTA gameplay just isn’t that great imo I prefer Cyberpunk gameplay.

Good, but a shame you couldn’t set up the same lens. GTA looks like a photo captured with a 70-100mm lens, and Cyberpunk with a 14-28mm wide-angle lens… hard to compare… On top of that, GTA has perfect lighting in cutscenes, and Cyberpunk’s lighting is random depending on where you placed the characters/models.

  21. Cyberpunk has been the benchmark since 2020 for graphics and modern open world city.

GTA 6 will be the next benchmark until cyberpunk sequel.

I just hope the upcoming games don’t lose their visual uniqueness after moving to unreal

  22. mooncanon

how did you create the cyberpunk shots? are those real in game locations or did you add things?

  23. Nice work. I just realised how similar panam and the GTA6 look.

  24. Sasya_neko

You didn’t use mods did you, i have a mod that makes cyberpunk look like real life.

  25. You are comparing apples to oranges, one is rockstar with “unlimited” funds, some estimating as much as one billion dollars spent on GTA6. I don’t know what what’s cyberpunk cost is but I can guestimate it’s no way near that.

Really appreciate the time to put this together OP.

I do think both games have their own “flavor” of how they look so it’s not easy to compare one to one.

  26. SquirrelTeamSix

I’m not shitting on anything by any means, or saying that it isn’t better than Cyberpunk (an almost 5 year old game at this point) but I got the impression that all the stuff we’ve seen from GTA6 is cinematics. Are we really expecting these trailers to represent the actual game when we play it?
