The point of Major is to celebrate competitive CS and grow the domestic scene. People wanted Valve to grow NA and other scenes but as soon as few hiccups come along they lynch them and telling them to abandon it.

Given the recent news of random people not being able to travel to US, because of their social media posts etc. or people wrongfully being detained by ICE, the idea that teams might have visa issues is not fall from the sky, is it? Even dev1ce hinted at a potential major participation because of the usual Visa drama.
You can mourn the fact that the US has looked like a clown show recently, but throwing a tantrum because the community assumed a common and recently even likely pattern to be applicable here too, is intentionally tone deaf.
