Jack needs to get jumped, it’s the only way people like that learn; I genuinely can’t fathom how some people have the audacity to do such a thing. No etiquette, no home-training, 1000 years disgrace on their bloodline.

I like when I meet an old friend and I mention a video game and they’re like “you still play video games?”
(I’m 39)
And I respond with “yeah. I also still watch movies and TV and I still read books and listen to audiobooks and podcasts. Yeah I **still** do all that stuff, yup”

The most wonderful thing about working from home: every day is basically panel 4 and I completely avoid those first three panels.
Ever since the pandemic my office has given us the option to work remotely and pledged a few years ago not to change that. Now, instead of annoying people in the break room talking about annoying things, I get to take cat breaks and have them at my desk while working.

“What did you do this past weekend?”
“I went on an expedition ^33”
“Oh? Where to?”
“(In a heavy French accent) Lumiere…”
“Wow, that sounds exotic!”
“You have no idea…”

My boss once told me “you’re a grown man, you shouldn’t be playing video games”. Anyway, fuck that.

Four-day weekend coming up, which means lots of time to make more progress in The Long Dark!

Good food, cozy setup and a good game (or 2 or 3!) is a fantastic weekend. I’m 41 and will never grow up again.

One got in detail about his experience.
Other just said “I played video games”
Still not justified but explaining a bit about the whole thing can stop this.

I run into this all the time with coworkers. I’ll tell them that I cooked food, got some exercise and gamed my face off all weekend. Then they come back with I did a ton of yard work, hung shelves in my garage and took my wife curtain shopping … coool. That sounds like it sucked.

Clean your damn house. Nobody likes coming over because it smells like stale food and cat litter.

Love it. Especially the look on their faces when I say casually I’m a game developer. “So you play games all day?” , No, not really no. I do love videogames tho.
