Every biome looks like something you' read out of a science fiction novel as a kid. I'm constantly checking out the design of the world.
The whole atmosphere of the game gives off Remedy WTF vibes but is definitely its own thing.
A 3D bullet hell sci-fi action shooter as difficult as old school NES games.

For me it gave Prometheus (movie) vibes. Loved the game and can’t wait for their next game! Also one of the few games where the dualsense’s haptics made a difference in gameplay.

God I wish they’d make a sequel. I did literally everything you could do in the game short of maxing out every single weapon.
I want to play it so much, but I’m too old for dodge/parry gameplay with no dificulty settings
Returnal is my favourite game ever! I’m over 40 and have gamed all my life. Nothing even comes close. Amazing world design, tight combat, masterpiece of a sound track, epic boss fights, it’s the one game I will never uninstall.
