Unlike talking guns in other games Skippy was actually fun to have around. Telling me I’m a bad person who’s going to hell was always the highlight of our conversations during heated battles. Why the hell can’t we restore him to the way we got him? Or is this another Brandon the vending machine kinda thing?

You can just not give him back
I don’t give a shit about any of that i just want to be able to skip his dialogue. It was funny the first time, tolerable the 2nd thru the 5th or 6th, but after a dozen playthroughs I’m just over it
Because in a mission later on you’re told that the owner removed the personality chip from Skippy and that was the only thing he cared about the gun, then Regina just gives you the gun.
Bum bum be-dum bum bum be-dum
Yo I don’t wanna make another post but what do you guys think about needing to actually eat and sleep in the next game as a survival mechanic? Like food sleeping and showering don’t serve a purpose outside of role playing right now. But in reality you need that stuff to survive.
I think it happened like this. Originally you didn’t get him back at all, then they patched it so you got him back.
I don’t know why they didn’t leave his dialogue. I really like the line most murders are caused by men, you go girl. Or something like that
Because the story is a tragedy.
I hope cyberpunk isnt going grimdark. Theres alot of situations where you should be able to undo certain shitty things. Its not about saving the world its about saving yourself i get that but cmon small victories?
To give you a reason to play a new game
Because it’s not necessary beyond emotional fanservice.
It’s a chatty smartgun, which was amusing, and eventually its AI was wiped, which made the grim point that it’s not a living creature to most people. Its arc was complete.
To ask why V couldn’t undo it is almost like ‘why V couldn’t save the cyberpsycho sergeant or Evelyn’, because the game is not about ‘make-everything-right’ emotional catharsis.
