Randy Pitchford is pretty gross.
Eh, I feel like if BG3 released a bit later they’d jump on the 80 train and defend it with it being the “highest budget CRPG ever”.
It’s just one devs opinion on his words though, but we’ll see if they stand by this if their next game maintains a 60 dollar price point.

Fuck Pitchford. You don’t get to charge more money for your next entry when your last one and recent movie were shit. Earn your players’ trust back with a solid game, then think about maybe turning more profit with the next one…when people trust you again.

20years ago, game came with full game cartridge booklet, no day1 dlc, as less bug as possible, even without patch wtill playable. Compare 2025 digital copies, micro trans, day1 download or patch, unplayable day1, physical copies only 1 line of codes. Dumb takes like bd3 did well. They become what their game trying to tell.

Well, there’s three interpretations of “find a way to buy it.”
I can imagine two of the more popular ones will be to just wait a few years for it to go on sale for 80% off– it’s Borderlands, there’s no reason to buy it day 1– or to channel the spirit of Jack Sparrow.
I can’t wait to play Borderlands 4!!…. when it’s like, $30…… a year or 2 after launch.

I won’t say I was hyped for borderlands 4 after the mid product we got with bl3 (some people claim it was a bad game. I disagree, but it was certainly worse than Bl2) but that comment single handedly killed any anticipation I had.
I will wait till it inevitably drop to $30 in few months
