I do this so I have more “control” of when others see when I’m on. I keep my steam offline always, but make myself online on discord when I want to be sociable.

I used to the opposite, set my status to eternally online. People never knew if I was actually there or not, so I was free to ignore all messages. But then shit like Discord and Steam stopped allowing it. I hate that my services always want to snitch on my wherabouts.
