Depend of what you buying.
Great “arctic p14 max 5 pack” is quite affortable.

So an Asus cooler with some nasty Corsair fans then in a 011D.

The way I see it. I had 2 pcs in my first case and it eventually didn’t have enough flow for my new parts so I invested in a case that will hopefully hold 2-3 iterations of my pc. Bought a nice lian li with all the bells and whistles and a nice noctua cooler and hope to get some years out of them.

I’m running 10 chromax fans 😅

Prices will never come down and wages will never go up.
Thanks America.
IsorokuYamamoto659
Expensive, suspicious AIO with flat screen + 12 Fans with more LEDs than the monitor -> Ryzen 5 and a 3060
Rare-Dragonfly-8373
Average noctua and fish tank argb builders 😂

The DH-15 air cooler is well worth it to me. You won’t ever catch me spending $300 on case fans though. I like the standard case better anyways. It is a very good case.
Bleach_Baths
Thermalright. Three fans for $15 and they’re silent. Same with my CPU cooler $45 Peerless Assassin 140, only hear it on startup.
I just put 4 Corsair ML140s in my Antec case. The fans were £2 each from Scan!
funthebunison
I got full rgb and a lcd on my cooler for like $90 put like $230 into my processor.

dont asks about us who have custom loops 💸💸💸

i dont know the antec c3 is a beautiful case and comes with 7 fans and a controller it cost me 120 euros if i recall. Not too bad if u ask me. Yes there are expensive options (dont get me started on this gens gpu prices) but there are other options too. Im from a time when personal computing cost heck of a lot and there were not a lot of options and absolutly no one to tell you whats good or not.
Be sensible, research and then research some more and ask.

The fan for my Noctua NH-L9a-AM4 is getting replaced tomorrow after 5 years of me not cleaning my PC. Thermals are still good, fan just won’t spin on its own without power anymore. I doubt I could clean the bearing myself without breaking it so it’s getting a new Thermalright TL-9015B CPU fan.

I have the stock amd cooler from a few upgrades ago on my 5700x and it does fine in Australian weather.
I did plan on getting something better if needed, but so far it hasn’t been.
Does get a bit loud in CPU heavy uses, but the temperatures are still fine and it isn’t too bothersome, if I was one of the people that really hated fan noises I would change it, but I used to sleep in the same room as my Duron computer and that thing sounded like a vacuum cleaner when it wasn’t hot, just white noise to me.

I mean you don’t need super strong noctua fans or a super expensive cpu cooler for it to work, like I have £100 noctura D15 and 7 Noctura Case fans (£17×7=£128) like you can always go more or less expensive without effecting performance too much. My cpu also costs almost double (it costed me like £400). Same as you don’t need a super expensive case to work. They are nice to have but it is a part which going more expensive isn’t really cost effective (like motherboards)
GroundbreakingBag164
Arctic. You want to buy from Arctic
shuozhe
Got so many spare fans.. what are you doing with all the old fans?
ninjabiomech
I just bought a used noctua cpu cooler with one fan and 2 new fancy noctua 120mm fans. Set me back about 120, about half of my cpu cost 🫡
Well my case is definitely costlier than the CPU not the cooler though. My case is like 25K(rog Strix Helios) and cpu is ryzen 5 9600x, 21~22K.
psychoacer
You don’t really pair that with a 9600x though. You have way cheaper solutions. It’s for people that want to spend a lot of money on their build. It’s for people who get annoyed when you mention price to performance to them. Money isn’t the problem, they just want something that looks and performs at the top. You don’t just have to buy this now that it’s announced

As an owner of a North XL with an AIO and full of Noctua fans, I feel this. I could finally afford something nice so I did it.

I got a Corsair 3500x with 3 fans pre installed for $95 on Amazon. I thought it was a fair price.

Noctua has always been atrociously overpriced imo.

Hello planning to build my own pc (came from laptop gaming) do I need a fancy 500usd cpu case? I am not rich or just the 20-30usd is enough?
Hassan_Ressurection
i buy some chinese dual tower named xuangfeng/qiuzaim with 1 9cm fan 6 heatpipes, then replace the fan with 2x delta 4500rpm fan, that was so cheap to cool my xeon setup
A_Neko
Fan prices do go crazy and it’s ridiculous.
Got a new ek 240 aio for $70 recently and I think it was well worth it, then put $45 in case fans. 1 140mm, 3 120mm Geometric Squama

It’s only as expensive as you make it.
[$70 for a CPU cooler and case fans is great.](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/CjhXLc)
[Or you can do this and blow the budget on fans/cooler](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fFB9XR)

Was in Best Buy yesterday to buy some fans. I didn’t.
my work PC is built out of old parts, and I’m pretty sure the current market value of my AIO cooler is more than my 10 year old i7.
