Final Francetasy is one of the best games I’ve ever played. Xenobaguette Chronicles has a gripping, tragic narrative. Escargot Trigger has awesome gameplay. Eiffel Odyssey has such a unique, vibrant world. Flambe Emblem’s art and music are downright sublime.

Ima be real.
It’s welcome but super strange to go from being constantly bashed to people enjoying French culture.

I love the game, but my one gripe is that the French voices don’t seem to match the lip-sync. Trivial, yes, but irksome.

You know what? Originally I was really annoyed by all the glazing this sub did for the game, but after buying it and playing for a bit, honestly? It’s totally earned. Still a little annoying but now I understand why.

It definitely revived my past bias that French = hot, but I listen to that language and I’m convinced my mouth could never produce those sounds

It was a great game overall. I think the parry system was just a bit overdone and the game lingered on maybe a couple hours longer than it should have (for me anyway), but still very fun.

So don’t give this to Quebec?

JRPGs pushing interest in a language/culture? A tale as old as time. Though I’m not sure the world is ready for ouiaboos

I mean, lots of people (including me) learn new languages because of culture. I know many in my country know English because of games and movies, and also many that want to learn Japanese because of anime. It’s only natural.

I really am enjoying this game. The art direction is just so original. The acting is good and you generally do give a shit about the characters
