This, among a million other reasons, are why gaming is infinitely more fun when you’re a kid.

  2. TheRealTormDK

Press F to respect. You’ll get there, we’ll be here waiting!

  3. InvectiveOfASkeptic

If you aren’t willing it put your and everyone else on the roads lives at risk for more frames, are you even a PC gamer?

  4. Disastrous-Fox8505

Same reason I still have an HDD; something always comes up when I have an extra couple bucks.

  5. nesnalica

Now that i have saved enough money for a new GPU,

the GPUs cost 2-3 times more than my initial target I just saved up

  6. EternalFlame117343

That’s why I dont have a car and just use public transportation

  7. 53180083211

It’s always like that, isn’t it? And then my sugar baby wants new shoes and my wife’s boyfriend needs a birthday gift. Never stops…

  8. sold enough PTO this fall to buy a new GPU at announced prices, now they’re all $300+ more, lol.

  9. OperativePiGuy

Tends to happen lol once I get anything worth having in a savings, something comes up to wipe it out. Feels like procedurally generated poverty mechanics or something lol

  10. LoneroftheDarkValley

I’m getting new tires this week! 😀

    Tire bros, pound it! 👊

  11. IllustriousHornet824

💔 this but I bought a new gpu, then I accidentally bent a cpu socket pin and had no money

  12. Hey, stay positive! If you have a powerful enough car, you can simulate the smell of a burnt power connector by doing burnouts!

  13. deeptut

Those new tires can surely wait another year…

  14. TopdeckIsSkill

I get you! I got tired to wait too!

  15. guigr100

Same thing here, I was so happy to have some extra money to upgrade my PC and suddenly my car broke down 3 times in a row in the same month

  16. Rukir_Gaming

And this is why I’m slowly recommending folks to find any Intel B580 at under 350 dollars for anything new at that price point- its not scalped to high heaven

  17. Nuker-79

You got a dog by any chance? Once you sorted your car, can pretty much guarantee that your dog gonna do something to get a stupidly high vets bill. It’s the rules.

  18. Quartzalcoatl_Prime

I’ve saved up for a brand new rig but now I’m worried about how much I actually need it…so I guess I’ll be saving for a while more

  19. ivanlinares

I had almost in my hands a 4070 Ti Súper, last year and since then couldn’t buy anything because expenses….

  20. all_is_not_goodman

    Tires are everywhere. Gpus aren’t

Grab an iron and go out hunting

  21. metrosine

I feel your pain. I replaced my furnace and ac a week ago, the next day I took my car into the shop and surgery tomorrow. I think someone knew I started looking at pc parts.

  22. grand305

    Used tires. 🛞

Plenty of car shops in USA.

You might be able to find tires you like for Less than new.

  23. iwanashagTwitch

Congratulations, you’ve saved enough money to buy 4 new tires!

  24. fillerbuster

I was on my way to a service appointment for my truck last week and I hit a curb and popped a tire.

Granted the two were at least related and one thing didn’t take away from the other, but it did make it more painful.

I am sorry but enjoy the new tires once they’re on.

  25. Phantom_Crush

I just started my fund again for like the 3rd time. There’s always SOMETHING that pops up and runs my pockets

  26. steveyramone

Have you looked into used tire places? I had to get two tires this past weekend and I was able to buy them and get them put on for $120 out the door

  27. Alexandratta

When folks tell me “why are you complaining about forced features when you have a 5 year old card!”

Because I cannot afford a newer card that can reasonably play modern games.

Minimum I’d need to play the new Doom and not render my monitor pointless (1440p) is a 3080.

yes… I could… technically… kind of run it on my system at 1080p 60fps with FSR making each frame a vasaline slide-show… but I wouldn’t bother at that point, and I’ll just skip the title until it either gets improvements to make that 1080p scaling better or when I can find a decent deal on a newer card.

Also I have a minor point where, I’m not spending a ton of cash for incremental improvements. If I’m upgrading my video card, I’m expecting a 50% bump, at least, in performance if I’m dropping $500 bucks… And that’s not possible now.

I’m also not dropping more than $650 on a card… I did that with this video card, and I outright refuse to go higher than that for a PC Component I use for leisure – I could just play another game, for example.

The current pricing has literally made my hobby unobtainable, and it sucks.

  28. Mostface

Before I could afford all new tires, I would literally buy used tires for a 10th of the price for several years. It got me through some hard times.

  29. Silent_Reavus

    Life always fucking does this.

My bank account still hasn’t recovered from an unexpected vet bill a year ago, because then the economy went even further into shit since then

  30. Kiwi_CunderThunt

Take public transport and enjoy a new GPU

  31. RealNiceKnife

Why do you need to buy tires? There’s tons of them around.

  32. rainspider41

Go to a Goodyear dealership get the card for the good rebate and they have 6 mo. interest free financing. It’s a good car repair card because you get 6 months to pay it off.

  33. Godess_Ilias

as a kid : too much time , not enough games

as adult too much work, not enough games

  34. topias123

Tires don’t cost that much tho, full set for mine is 400€.

  35. maribakumon

I swear to God if this happens to me on June 4 I’m gonna fucking lose it

  36. RussDidNothingWrong

Thanks for the reminder, I just got my car 8 months ago but I really should be putting aside money for tires.
