I love the way motorcycles ride in this game. Once you get used to using brake and throttle at the same time and using stoppies to turn around they're much superior to GTA V motorcycles. I hardly ever use fast travel just cause they're a blast to ride.

Generally that’s aimed at how the cars handle not the bikes. Bikes are fine, most cars are ‘slippery’.

I think it’s because the game has progression and specific driving profiles for it’s cars. Certain cars are atrocious on tarmac and a great time in the desert or vice versa. In my experience early cars are alright cuz they’re usually slow. Midgame ones suck cuz they start to get faster but their handling doesn’t improve as much. Late game ones vary depending on what you like.

Certain cars have also been bizzarely terrible throughout the games life. The calbium rides like a dream nowadays but it was a piece of shit up to PL. Thing slid out like it was ice skating all the time. On the other hand the coyote used to feel great everywhere but now feels like shit in the city while still feeling good in the desert. The avenger is great nowadays but I remember it being horrible compared to it’s showing in 2018. And the aerondight or however you spell that is still too big and too jank to be good, despite being one of the games most expensive cars

Because they are. Suspension setups are super soft and roads are super bumpy. The tire grip values combined with the soft suspension is counterproductive to precise high speed driving.
Besides the fact that high speeds in vanilla arent that high because the vanilla speedometer is a lie and tells you way more than youre going.
Bikes tend to lean forward too much braking, leading to the rear wheel taking off and losing all grip, very unhelpful when braking before a corner.
And while personal driving preferences might differ, the numbers in the code dont lie. I have tweaked the statistics for many of my favorite vehicles and they all drive much better, much more controllable and I can drive like in a racing game.
CDPR didnt get around setting up the vehicles properly, and many vehicles have weird setups that are way slower and less controllable than they could be.

Bikes are fine. Cars though? It feels like driving on black ice. You turn a little left and all of a sudden the bitch is pulling a 90 degree angle straight into a fuckin wall.

  5. Driving used to be worse, they overhauled it to perform better in a patch a while ago. It’s still not a driving sim, but it’s alright.

  6. OhHaiMarc

Idk I enjoy it, each car drives differently. More fun than gta driving, not that that’s a high bar

  7. Exciting_Meaning2947

Bad use case. Your using a Sandevistan

  8. Crypto-Spare

My main gripe is the braking. Cars are far worse though: Braking distances are more at ship levels and any turning while braking will result in terrible understeer. Don’t even think about more advanced techniques like trail braking.

On release the cars were driving like they were on ice and it was horrible. A patch later made it a bit better, but since I play on PC and mods are an option, last time I played was with modded car handling.

I was today years old when I found out you can melee on a bike lol

  11. DifficultCurrent7

Controlling the cars is like trying to control an ice skate on meth

  12. grantishanul

TIL you can use a katana while on a bike.

My problem with Cyberpunk is that all objects, including vehicles and bodies, have a low gravity force, so everything bumps too much.

CDPR should increase the gravity force by 50%. The game would feel much more realistic.

Its okay it’s not the best I’ve played but it’s okay

  15. Philocrastination

I don’t know why people are saying bikes are fine lmao they handle in the most ridiculous way, nothing like real motorcycles
and the animations are shockingly bad if you’ve ever watched a motorcycle move in your entire life.

The cars handle horribly but I can at least tolerate the way they look in 3rd person. It’s clear that the vehicles in general were slapped on at the end of a strained development nightmare and haven’t been redone so they’re still ass.

I must admit though, I’m sensitive to bad or unrealistic animations (like the bikes not leaning as if physics are non existent) and a lot of people probably don’t care but I like 3rd person views so this annoys me.

Wait is this footage supposed to make it look good? You drive into a wall like 6 times lol.

  17. Less-Squash7569

Because they never read the file labeled driving in the files menu. It explains driving and if you read it and understand it you won’t suck at it anymore.

  18. WastePerformance6176

personally i dig the type 66 HOON over the bikes or any of the other cars just because it handles well drifting and can go pretty fast but the rest of these comments are right. the rest of the cars are kinda slippery and don’t handle that well.

  19. LivingEnd44

It’s not horrible if you’re on a bike.

  20. Glory_Hole_Hero

That whole thing was fuckin’ bad ass cabron. I now have a whole new way of thinking about or approaching this game. There’s obviously so much shit I have yet to do, discover, experience, or try after only 2 playthroughs. Thanks Choom.

  21. minxy_789

Motorcycles are great. It’s the cars, especially from the inside. Nearly all the cars have the most squirrelly handling imaginable lol

  22. NoV4QU4K3

Now do it again in a car not a bike.

I almost exclusively drive bikes in this game cuz how bad the cars are

  23. DavidLaBonita

You’re username smells of axe and Hot Pockets. Ham and Cheese ones.

  24. Natural_Professor809

Wow, nice. What’s the build for the seemingly infinte sandevistan loop?

  25. RiseInternational481

Idk why that looked so funny to me

im pretty sure most of the people gonna roast me but driving not good but realistic. if try to turn at 90kph(or idk 70 mph) you cant turn that easly. you would made a crash or hit somewhere im pretty sure. but if when you make a turn and hit the break a little you should good to go. i have drive id card(or licence idk) and drive car idk around +100 hours or more. so i mean it is not that good driving car but its just trying to be a realistic
