Apparently, the 5060 is a 720p card (“previews” can only be done at 1080p with dlss quality)

    Based.

It brings me joy to see e-celebrities absolutely seething over not receiving special treatment to keep their grift going

  2. The_Silent_Manic

That is DEFINITELY garbage, a card that can’t even do native 1080p resolution.

  3. KebabRacer69

If that’s true, that’s fucking awful.

  4. This entire 50 series lineup is an absolute joke between melting hardware, being absurdly overpriced for their performance, lack of VRAM, turd drivers and missing ROPs. It belongs in a toilet.

  5. NoCase9317

Do you guys felt a bit of a beef with Digital Foundry during this video, or was it me?

  6. GuyFrom2096

…aaaaand the 5060 is the best selling card of its generation. Who woulda’ thought?

  7. Nullhitter

Absolute disgusting that 720P is even in the conversation.

  8. MultiMarcus

Well, quite frankly, that’s ridiculous. It’s absurd and review should be free from weird restrictions like that.

That being said, I do think that DLSS 4 quality mode is shockingly usable at 1080p. I still don’t think you should be forced to test it that way, but I do think it’s going to be a big help for lower end cards especially older cards that we want to last longer.

  9. DinosaurAlert

It doesn’t mean it is “bad”, but I get it gets beaten by other $300 starting price cards with DLSS off.

Think about it, especially in this price range:

“I don’t notices anything negative with DLSS being on, and this card produces the better experience. Why would I care what happens when the DLSS is off? I’m not going to turn it off! Why would I turn of something off that makes my games run better?”

“No no, you don’t understand, the frames aren’t real! They’re generated!”

“What does that even mean? NONE of the frames are real, idiot, they’re all computer graphics. They’re ALL generated.”

“But you can’t respond to the game at 1/120th of a second, you can only respond at 1/50th of a second!”

“Are you fucking serious with me now? Do I look like the top 0.01% of gamers where 4 milliseconds of reaction is going to affect my gameplay?”

Don’t get me wrong – I don’t like Nvidia pushing reviewers in a direction, but I can ALSO object to the opposite of “Don’t buy the RTX 5060!” as a headline.

  10. SekiroSoul1

720p is absolutely unacceptable, can’t believe what I’m reading.

  11. WonderFactory

judging by the performance of other 50 series cards and the stated TFLOPS (19.18) for the card it should be very similar in performance to the 3070 which isnt too shabby for an entry level card

  12. Rukasu17

What’s even the point of these restricted reviews anyway? Anyone into the gpu market will know something is off, and the actual benchmarks will show up anyway when it’s out

  13. EternalFlame117343

Be glad they even care about using the leftovers for making gaming gpus.

  14. Every day I’m happier for my £195 6700XT from ebay

  15. CthulhuSpawn

We just replaced my wife’s RTX 2080 Ti with a 9070 XT. She has been very happy with it so far. The only problem was having to pay above MSRP. (fake MSRP blahblah) Although we were lucky enough to catch a restock at B&H for this.

*edit holy smokes it’s in stock right now! 4pm EDT May 18th.

  16. Whats worse is people will buy it anyways and Nvidia will see that they can get away with it and scam us harder next gen because lets face it we allow Nvidia to view us as morons.

  17. TheRealRolo

Remember when 1080p was considered entry level.

  18. Puffy_Ghost

Nvidia is basically pulling out of consumer level GPUs it would seem. Which makes sense for their business, since they’re making so much more money from AI and server applications.

AMD doesn’t particularly seem interested in making 4090ti level cards either, and Intel is still basically in infancy with their GPUs…

Should be an interesting next few years I guess.

  19. Well I think we all knew it was gonna be trash considering they weren’t releasing the drivers and waiting to launch during computex.

  20. xKanade1337

How is this true? My 2070 can play games like Elden ring at 1440p 60fps so the 5060 can’t do 1080p? Doesn’t seem true even if nvidia is crap

  21. BasedBalkaner

Man I still remember that early exclusive RTX 3080 review from Digital foundry, I used to watch DF a lot but after that review they lost all the respect I had for them

  22. MakimaGOAT

And its still unfortunately gonna sell like hotcakes because its the only card in the 50 series lineup that majority of gamers can afford.

  23. secret_name_is_tenis

Anakin this elevator is supposed to be going up not down

  24. 60 series card will be a half-empty tin of Altoids mints with an Nvidia sticker on it.

  25. bobbster574

I actually have no idea what conclusion I can come to regarding Nvidias continued scummy ass behaviour

Clearly they’re not seeing a reason to change (seemingly getting worse and worse) and I’m not sure if the ground is shrinking beneath them or if this info just doesn’t reach the normies or if the normies actually don’t care

  26. GuyFrom2096

I feel like some math should be run with these numbers. First, we should divide 232 by 4 to get the real framerate without MFG – 232/4 = 58 fps. Now to find out native 1080P performance, given that this is upscaling from 720p, (1920×1080)/(1280×720) = 2.25. Divide 58 by 2.25 to get **26fps at 1080p native** (Methinks should be named RT 5030 instead). Comparing the 5060 to the 3060, we see that dividing 58/49 gives 1.18, which means there is a **18% increase** in performance from **2 generations** ago. Comparing to the 2060 Super, 58/43 = 1.34, meaning a 34% increase in performance from 3 generations ago. The RTX 5060 is truly a joke of a card.

  27. Brawndo_or_Water

Ah yeah the drama youtuber. Without all the bullshit over-the-top drama, he would not make a penny. Kinda reminds me of Endymion of the PC gaming reviews.

  28. patientx

Looking at those numbers at most %10 better than 4060 ? Or is it a too good assumption?

  29. volatile-solution

1080p is today’s 720p. No games are being developed nowadays keep that res in mind. Devs are assuming everyone has at least 1440p monitors.

  30. ostrieto17

anything that relies on dlss frame gen and all that bs is not a real product

  31. thank NVDIA for showning Wich review channel/website cannot trust anymore (if they have the 5060 drivers it mean they sold their content to NVIDIA)

  32. hentairedz

Bro what.. I game at 1440 on my 3060…wtf are they doing

  33. Talk about burying the lede, Nvidia tried to bribe them ([00:26](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtFDz-BQLew&t=1380s)). Not to mention that all these new technologies like DLSS perform similar functions to that of motion blur. Some don’t mind it but most people have gotten exceptionally good at recognizing it and immediately want to turn it off.

now the mandatory ray tracing in doom TDA makes sense with the RTX advertisements being pushed everywhere
